What a lovely place. Doing up the old place sounds like a great idea. They must have built them well back then for the old place to still be standing.

Thanks for this video, it's a side Ukraine you don't often see currently with everything going on in the east. Beautiful landscape and scenery. I'm not sure if it's atypical, but I'm a little jealous you have such relatively pleasant mild weather right now (I'm from Wisconsin USA).

Thanks Orest for this video. You are a good guy. I myself have good memories from this region. In fact near Striy I realized that I went too far on the bus, and the bus driver arranged that I wait at the Striy village bus stop and gave me a ticket back to the "Lviv-Striy" stop - all with no common language. You also inspire with your positive demeanour, while keeping us aware of the brutal war. I think this is the best way to go. This is my 2023 resolution - support Ukraine but not get too depressed about it. Our thoughts can control our emotions. Of course we all want Ukraine's victory.

Thank you for this wonderful video and the beautiful tour of rural Ukraine. You and Marta have a great presents together and should make more videos together. Thank you Marta for sharing your childhood summer home with all of us. We heat with wood here in the far north USA and loved seeing the wood her father has stacked for the winter. It must be a very cozy cabin with wood heat. Please both of you stay safe and videos of Ukraine daily life with a more positive theme would be so wonderful to watch. Slava Ukraine from Massachusetts.

Did you back-track to find your numbered vehical plate? This driving tour was very enjoyable and interesting. Actually, it reminds me very much of the place I'm living now in central Minnesota, USA. You can find me looking for Onamia Lake on any map app.. Zoom in, the jhome place is on the very East side of the lake. I moved here when I retired because my brother now owns the old home place and I help caretake the place. Many of the locals here derive part of their income from logging also. I hope to come to Ukraine and meet your fathers and would like a friendly chat with them. Marta, your dad's place looks much like the rural place I'd want if I could have had one. I'd surely enjoy a tour of his place and to see what berries it was you had found, looked like viburnum, highbush cranberry, except that there appeared to be a green sprig connected that seemed to be some needled evergreen. Thanks again, later, Bye.........................Old Dave

So many people in North America believe that we are more progressive and civilized because of indoor plumbing an urban cultures that exist here. Unfortunately with western civilization comes ignorance of history and an apathy towards it, even though the result culminated with themselves. The soon ending of this war will bring massive growth and changes in Ukraine, Russia and pull Europe out of any recession. Land will start to rise in price as speculation picks up, both foreign and domestic. The poor and the old will be the worst affected because they continue to do things the old ways like outside toilets and with change will force many to worse poverty. But this video can be a good way to help keep these people safer on their own properties and add allure to those like you who wish for adventure. I listened to your background on the APT video with Jonathan and think you have a good perspective. As things pick up after the war it's the land for Ukrainian's that you will have to protect for the future, history and traditions which will be hard in the face of western influence. I look forward to going trough your library and seeing more.

Guelder-rose 🥀 . I wrote down all the words to the song 🎶: In the meadow a red guelder-rose leaned down. For some reason our glorious Ukraine 🇺🇦 is in sorrow. And we will raise that red guelder-rose and cheer up our glorious Ukraine 🇺🇦. Hey! Hey! Our volunteers are coming forward into a bloody dance to liberate our homeland from the shackles of Moscow. And we will break those Moscow shackles. And we will cheer up our glorious Ukraine 🇺🇦. Hey! Hey! There is a golden field of spring wheat. Ukrainian riflemen are in a bloody dance with our enemies. And we will harvest that spring wheat and cheer up our glorious Ukraine 🇺🇦. Hey! Hey!
