My wife & me are in the market now looking at buying a caravan. So far Jayco caravans have caught our eye, mostly due to there A+ customer service. We are currently looking into the All terrain van & the Journey outback caravan, leaning more to the all terrain after watching multiple KZbin videos.

I will say the after sales service has been second to none!! We took our van back in after 18 months of full time travel and they replaced all the stuff we broke, even the wear and tear on the sofa cushions, all under warranty! I can’t sing their praises enough! They have been awesome! Even while we were travelling they had branches everywhere so getting parts was a breeze. All you have to do is quote the chassis number and walk out with the part you need. They even gave us a new plug for the sink for free!

Watch for quality control issues and very lightweight chipboard/fibre cupboards that can have durability issues. Jayco are built to a price point and this can affect some vans Also watch out for very nasty access holes in your floor as Jayco are terrible at sealing these and don’t put much effort in this area. My opinion only!

Thanks heaps Louise, I always hope someone will watch these videos and think to themselves "yep, this looks great, let's go and do it!" I'm really trying to get across that we are just normal people learning as we go and if we can do it then so can everyone else! You don't need to spend a fortune and you don't need to be an expert just get out there and see Australia!

Thanks heaps! We’ve got plenty of videos from around the country! I highly recommend K’gari and Moreton Island but I do also have some more 4WD stuff coming up from our second trip to the Atherton Tablelands near Cairns so keep an eye out

Your airing down pressures are way higher than most recommendations I've just done that trip and we were on 25psi car and campervan

Thanks Adrian, we find if we air down much more with the tyres we have and our weights we get massive side-wall bulge but I’ll keep this in mind and try some lower pressures in future. It’s all trial and error for us! Cheers

Airing down tyres on the van to 40psi is higher than most run on road ! Try 27-30 as a start point, it would not weigh much more than the cruiser.

Thanks mate. I reckon you’re right, we didn’t have any issues at those pressures but it might have made for a smoother ride. The key really is to drive to conditions, slow down and enjoy the journey! Can’t wait to get back up there! I love FNQ!

What model Cruiser have you got and has it had a GVM/GCM Upgrade...Cheers

Hi Peter, we have a 2013 200 series. It has had a GVM upgrade. It has it when we bought it so I don’t know too much about it other than we have two different compliance plates
