Hi Jamie. What is the Entertainment situation like in the Chathams? Are there regular performances by solo musicians and bands? Is there a library or theatre there? Best Regards.

I want to see what's like inside the store. Probably the place with the most stuff in the town.
@jamiehall39487 жыл бұрын
At times it is well stocked, but delays in the supply ship visits are common...things can be pretty lean then. Even essentials like petrol run out at times.

How long would it take to navigate the rim of the island in a car?
@jamiehall39488 жыл бұрын
In a car, you would have to stick to the roads, most of which are central rather than coastal. But you could probably drive them all in half a day. Following the coast would be quite a different prospect. Many areas would not be navigable at all, even in an ATV.

How do you even get there from USA
@jamiehall39486 жыл бұрын
ItsMeChemist - MCPE From USA you would first have to fly to New Zealand. Chathams is a two hour flight by turbo prop aircraft from either Christchurch, Wellington, Napier or Auckland.

+Jamie Hall Hi I have a question that may alter the future of the island; Let's say there were to be a wave of mass immigration, would the residence accept let's say 100000 people? Would this be feasible?
@jamiehall39488 жыл бұрын
+TehGodLord No. Absolutely not. Chathams is part of NZ and subject to immigration policy like the rest of the country. A population of 600 will not suddenly absorb 100,000. Don't be silly.
@TehGodLord8 жыл бұрын
+Jamie Hall There is place on the island. I think its silly too but so was deporting the Jewish in millions to Israel/Palestine. I was just wondering in the case of a world disaster, could the island sustain a much larger population? I'm guessing not.
@jamiehall39488 жыл бұрын
+TehGodLord Certainly not the numbers you suggest. But I don't see why people minding their own business should be regarded as a lifeboat for the rest of the world if they are stupid enough to fuck things up to the extent that they can't live in their own country.

I cant imagine, how to survive in lonely island.. This island is really remote from others..
@jamiehall39488 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is isolated. There are delays in shipping with essential supplies due to weather.But there are only 600 people here. The isolation, "make do" attitude and scenery are what make the place so special.
