I lived in Inglewood in the early 90s as a teenager. It was not a good place to live or raise kids in the early 90s. Gang activity was very high during those years. I lost friends due to gang violence. Drive-by shooting, dead bodies, car thefts, police helicopters over the neighborhood at night, race riots in middle school, gunshots late at night, gang members would stop as we were walking as kids in their low riders roll the windows down and star asking us questions about which gang we belonged too while we were walking to middle school. I moved out of California in the mid 90s. I'm glad to see Inglewood in a better light. Thanks so much for this video.

But I did try a banging burger and fries from some spot in downtown LA a few blocks away from skid row my second day there. Total I ate at 4 vegan spots. They all was POPPIN🔥🌟 so good I went back to one spot before I left on the plane, Bought a sandwich and stuffed it in my book bag and gave it to my wife when I got to Philly so she could try it 😂😆😁👌🏽 surprisingly many many vegan spots in LA. That’s was freakin AWESOME!!!!!!

One Sunday morning around 1963-64 my brother was walking by Pep Boys and opened the front door, they were closed and no one was their! Every kid around soon heard about and made their own free shopping trip! Free tire, batteries and much more made their way no to lots of cars in Inglewood!

When I was 17, i hopped on a plane and landed in San Diego, I definitely related to the smells, the temperature, the trees and the food all being so different from the east coast! I stayed about 8 months, then happily came back! I missed rain, and hated the dry heat!💀Thanks for trying to show us the plane, lol!✈ I hope you have a great time! 0:3 is the forum where the Lakers used to play and now it is the best venue for concerts because the acoustic is great and next o it is the La Ram's new stadium and Hollywood ark casino. across from the stadium is a very famous cemetery for black people in the city of Los Angeles. Everyone is buried there or knows someone who is buried there lol parallel to that behind the forum is the world-famous Crenshaw boulevard. There's Roscoe's chicken on waffle on manchester one of 10 the famous ones are on Pico and La Brea. LA is massive in terms of square miles. New York is more populated but Los Angeles is huge with a bunch of cities. There's a one or two crips hood that border Inglewood but that is a Blood and Piru city. a Very expensive city where homes are $6-700k starting.

You stayed on one side of Inglewood and didn't give the people the realness of what is taking place in the "hood". Had you rolled up La Brea some more you would have seen the LUXURY Apartments being built in the hood and once over Florence its a totally different Inglewood. Thats the Side near North Inglewood that is being rapidly gentrified. No passing by Hungry Joes restaurant where all the rappers and hustlers eat? Give thanks for passing through, bless.

Read the date bro it also does wonders. 🙏💯. I appreciate your thoughts and feedback but this was shot over 2 years ago when I was on my 48 state cross country trip. Drove across the usa in 10 months. I completed that journey about 2 years ago. But yes your right. It's a city. However, it looks* exactly like a neighborhood. It's 11 minutes from the LAX airport. Prolly less than that. Correct I am not from LA. Born and raised in North philly. East coast. But you can always go capture a virtual tour with your cell phone and document your hood thr way It's suppose to be documented. It's better for a resident to do their own area anyway. We know more about our own areas than any outsider ever will. I've documented 600+ videos of my own city philly because I know it like the back of my hand. But that didn't stop me from trying other states. And I purposely didn't Google and learn about any city/hood/ or town I documented before hand because I wanted my reaction to be organic. But as I mentioned earlier. Google does say it's a city. Like long Beach./pamona and all those other places surrounding LA. But it's designed just like our city and many cities across america. Philly has 100+ neighborhoods that make up the city. Some of our neighborhoods use to be cities of their own. But were adopted into the cities map. So that's why naturally I treated it as a neighborhood lol. Before my 48 state cross country trip(driving) I flew out there my self a year before and walked from the lax airport to Inglewood. It was literally in walking distance.
