I hate living in big city. This place looks amazing. Also it's thousands times cheaper. It would be a great place to live off the grid (I mean the whole state) as you can get pretty cheap land compared to neighbour states such as super expensive NC. The greenery and mild climate would be all that you really need + plenty of rain for your rainwater collection system.

Me and my father were planning on taking a road trip to New Orleans this summer but because of really high gas prices we’re thinking about going to Pittsburgh & West Virginia. So I’m glad to see this tour!

The Monongahela River starts in Fairmont, WV. It ends in Pittsburgh, PA. The county is called Monongalia, which is a latinization of the river's name.

During the neighborhood segment of this video, you start out in the Greenmont neighborhood. The thing that looks like a tombstone is a historical marker for the first house in the Morgantown area, built in 1772. That house quickly became the center of a fort built to defend against Indian attack during Lord Dunmore's War. The Greenmont area didn't actually become a part of Morgantown until about 1910. In 1899, Greenmont was incorporated as its own town. It was Morgantown's "Little Italy," as Italians were treated as third-class citizens in West Virginia at that time. Today, the neighborhood has lost much of its ethnic character. The streets in Greenmont are very narrow and confusing. The narrow streets are a result of the fact that the houses were built in the days before automobiles, and nobody in that area had enough money to own a horse. After Greenmont, you wander into the South Park neighborhood. South Park was developed in the first decade of the 1900's as an exclusive neighborhood for doctors, lawyers, and professors. By the 1940's, it was rather run-down, but it started gentrifying in the 1980's.

I was raised here and as a tour of Morgantown, I have to say this was not good. You spent most of the video in a residential area instead of downtown and surrounding area. There was so much more to Morgantown that you didn't even come close to showing. You missed Westover, Star City, Sabraton, Suncrest, The Mileground, and so much more. Not to mention that you pronounced a lot of the names wrong.
