I remember back when I was little kid we lived on a state highway and in those days( early 60's) there wasn't much traffic especially trucks so when we got one to honk the horn it was a really big deal.I always thought about that when a kid gave me the honk signal.

Traveled many a mile on 'ol U.S 151 between Mad Town & Da bu qu. Back when it was mostly 2 lane-sure was nice when the 4 lane finally opened up.

In the oil patch we didn’t mind waits. We got paid by the hour. The truck and me as the owner. I have waited 18 hours to complete a 2 hour job. Boring , yep , profitable, heck yes. We however did not have a sleeper so it was uncomfortable and still made us tired. Great vid Kurt and remember you and your viewers are human and we all are grumps sometimes. Traveling from Sioux City to Waterloo use to be treachous State in the winter time on old Hwy 20. Nothing but 2- lane. And going up Hwy 61 wasn't any better. Lol. Steep grades coming back south. Take care

Mr. Horeb is pronounced a couple of different ways by the locals....Mt. WhoreEB or Mt. Hoarb (like hoard only with a B) that Dubuque to Madison trip is very scenic but only during the day time. Back 30 years ago it was two lane....YUCK...LOL. Thanks for sharing your trips.

I don’t like those ROUNDABOUTS at all, no matter what I’m driving! Driving while tired…a lot of things can happen & you can miss out on some good stuff as well. So are you getting a new parking spot or what’s happening to you ground there? That the life of a trucker, right? At least they didn’t refuse you getting into the compound, but once you got in they didn’t want you to leave. Fun stuff. Blessings my friend! 🤩🥰✌️

New owners of my factory fenced in the primary loading dock and added a gate so NO truck can get to the dock. Why? Who knows. Anyway it's turned into a major cluster fruck whenever a truck shows up to pick up or drop off. I have a small commercial building next to the factory and I see what's going on most days. Down right entertaining.

i saw a video on strange mysteries and it was a truck driver who drove into and through an american state forest. spotted by several drivers. eventually the truck was found but it was 2 years before the remains of the driver were found. to this day no one knows why a respected driver suddenly vered off into the middle of nowhere and just vanished.

Oh my-betcha you went into Wis Pak-I'll just say-some things NEVER change. Sat at one of their places out in Watertown west of Milwaukee for the better part of 7 hours-and that was a SHORT wait. No matter what-there ain't NO reason for that whatsoever. My experience with them was in late 1995-as I stated previously-some thing just never change.........
