@@tshrg167 OTR drivers spend the majority of their time traveling on the interstate highway system. There are rest areas and truck stops everywhere. Personally I used Gatorade bottles to pee in mainly because most drivers pee on the ground and truck stop parking lots literally smell like piss in the warmer months. I wasn't comfortable adding to that problem. Hope it answered your question. Take care.

Get some dollar tree plastic baskets for your cabinets. Keep your items in the basket so when you open it the stuff doesnt tumble out. Pull the whole thing out like drawer when you are cooking, take out what you need and put it back. This also keeps stuff from getting lost in the back, makes ev easier to reach, and you can clean the cabinet easier because you can empty it in one motion.

5:30 CB radio goes into the first shelf on the top of your head between driver and passenger. All you have to do is to plug the antenna & power cable from the freightliner factory into your CB, then you're good to go. There is no need for an external antenna. The truck comes with one.

The CB goes up on top in middle. There is a cable that twists on back of cb and then you should have a fuse power chord also that connects to your cb in back. Then mic goes in front. And you can buy a small bungee and undo screws a bit on middle roof and put hooks under and screw hooks back in and that will be the device you can hang mic up on and you need to buy from truck stop the retractable hook that fits around the round backing of your mic. Then it should work off stereo antenna but if not you can buy cables that connect in back of cb then splits our to both sides of trk to mount to mirrors. On sides of doors of cab. Hope this helps. Lastly to test cb. Once power put cb on swr and channel 1 and key mic and watch needle and turn swr til it stays in red. Then on channel 40 same process. Once tuned that's done as far as getting antennas set with cb. Next you have a squelch button when you turn power on turn volume up and then turn squelch backed off til you don't hear squelch but volume still up. And that's basic set up.

Here's some food for thought - .securing items in the cabinets may be a simple-ish task. Try a fabric store, or similar, looking for thickish 1" mesh...you cut to the height you want. Secure (inside the cabinets) with the adhesive of your choice...my personnel choice would lean towards super glue (cyanoacrylate - cheapest in hobby stores that sell plastic models)...it may relieve your need to brace things when you open cabinets. It's worked for me for several years...and that's where I found it. You've got alot of storage in that truck. Makin' things easier would add to its value to you

OH LORD Alex !!! It's a gosh darn Citizens Band radio !!! A CB radio !! I had one on my Schwinn Sting Ray bike in 1973. Can I suggest watching the 1978 movie "Convoy" based on the CW McCall song by the same name. That radio puts you in real time contact with your fellow truckers. There might even be some Smokies (police) who still monitor ch 19. So Google how to install the radio and get your ears on good buddy. Get yourself a handle (nick name) and get jawing on the channel. Big plus is it can add some neat content. You ever find yourself on Long Island by mistake give me a shout. Handle is Time Bomb. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down. Catch ya' on the flip flop good buddy.

Good vid man. I find it odd those "bunk area" windows dont have screens though. Would seem essential depending on what area of the nation you're driving. Mosquitos, moths, flies ect.. My personal guess would be that tank was perhaps for gas for the boats for the dock area you saw. That was pretty interesting seeing as I have a passive interest in archeology and all that, so its like you came across something that maybe is close to 70+yrs old and isnt quite nonrecgonizable but is becoming that way.

At my last companies I drove an International and sleeper windows had screens. When the weather was right I'd pop one open and then crack a window up front for ventilation. When I went home and parked when it's warm I'd pop one open so the inside wouldn't be so hot when I got ready to leave.

You should consider a OneWheel to get around and explore and get to the bathroom a mile away!

I would have put the price of the 2 brooms into a rechargeable leaf blower. Make the trailer, corners and all, more clean and quick with less work. Small enough to store easy. 💪💙

Yup, and none of you clowns clean up the mess after you blow it out on the pavement.

I'm glad I read the comments before commenting this same thing. As a driver for 15 yrs, a leaf blower is the best. Saves time and better yet energy. I almost want to say fun at the the same time because it feels like you got away from doing labor. This is a pro tip for sure.
