In this case for some reason I'm giving a lot of credit also to the horses for figuring out what you were doing and adding thier own assesment and evaluation of the problem and acting accordingly. Ye old "I see that fence and I'll wait for her/him to go then I'll follow" syndrome ? no? oh well it was an idea. but kudos to all for an enjoyable little video. Thanks for sharing. ECF.
@johnkomosa40892 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's like the reigns go slack and the horse knows the command isolated to(the other) him/her, the other is "nulled" not moving as the line slack then comes along, I have to watch again to see the voice line interaction. But yeah, the horses are also thinking , Jim has taught them to self assess either by experience repetition or active ineraction. It is everything coming together, and trust. Decades of built interaction. Amazing as many say.., Amazing Team. Amazing Grace.

You made that look easy. Here's my assessment as to why. You have a good relationship with your horses and they trust you. they are also smart. Assessment over LOL. Now if I can try to think like the horses might have been thinking. What he wants us to back up into that gate? Other horse- That's what he seems to be saying I guess we're going to have to be careful and listen closely. First horse- sounds like a plan. Then when they figure out they're going back through it again. Back out already? I wonder why he brought us in here if he was just going to take us back out again? Other horse- I don't know but at least we know how the gate thing works now.
