I enjoy informative travel channels. Just information : Construction upgrade of Karibib - Usakos Road is confirmed by RA to begin in March this year. Okahandja - otjiwarongo - OTAVI feasibility study is about to be completed as at end of last year. Feasibility is to determine whether they dualise it or make it 2/1 like Okahandja - Karibib! Certainly RA is under political pressure to begin okahandja - otjiwarongo - OTAVI soon. It appears on their strategic plan as beginning after they done with Windhoek - Okahandja dual road this year. It may begin next year. Since u traveller its important to add that construction of Windhoek - Rehoboth dual carriage is continuing after Cimbembasia roadblock. The portion behind Cimbembasia is phase 1A connecting up to B1 behind roadblock. Phase 1B is beginning after April till Groot Aub then last phase 2 will proceed until Rehoboth.

@@lilree_1 No. I follow their announcements and road commencement updates. Karibib Road funds were sourced in early December. The tender for that road closed in December. The 1st phase budget to Usakos is around 340-370 million for the 33km to Usakos. Regarding Whk-Rehoboth construction is ongoing behind Cimbembasia to reach B1 soon then phase 1B is going to start between April and July according to LITHON AS current PROJECT Engineers and Supervisors. Okahandja - otjiwarongo - OTAVI feasibility progress was provided in December as about to finish. If u go to roads authority strategic plan from 2018 - 2023, u will see that Okahandja - otjiwarongo project shud commence before 2024 including coastal road between Walvis Bay and Swakopmund. According to RA CEO, they will start with coastal road upgrade once they done with the dune road up to Walvis Bay airport. Dune road is done but they extended it southwards by 13 km to reach Walvis Bay airport and proceed to Sesriem-maltahohe. That's the standing plan of that route. Am follow RA and engineers involved coz I have an interest in their plans and tenders.

Yeah, I think 140km/h makes sense because 120km/h is too slow and contributes to traffic congestion which leads to or results in horrible accidents. 140km/h is a good idea, the only thing that matters is discipline on the road, and laser focus execution phase 🤙

Finally a new upload. I think 140 makes sense coz 120 is really slow. It’s not really a speed issue but more the attitude of drivers. Also my naturally aspirated Corolla will enjoy being in the coast 😅.

The Zambezi region is raining,I saw the Toyota Fortuner and Ralph at luhonono if I'm not mistaken,the Fortuner was pulling a Trailer last Dec.

Yes, the landscape is stunning here. We’re underpopulated. Our population density is about 3 per km2. We’re are one of the list populated country in the world

I heard you say that Zambian truck drivers drive close to each other on your roads, I for one I have also seen Namibian and South African truck drivers driving close to each other here in Zambia. This kind of driving has nothing to do with Zambian drivers but it has to do with the attitude of most truck drivers especially in Africa.
