Swakopmund, Namibia

Swakopmund is a beautiful city on the western coast of Namibia. It is 219 miles from Windhoek, the Namibia capital. But you could fly in by air. The city has a small airport. This lively city was founded in 1892 as the main harbour for German South-West Africa.
There's so much activity one can engage in when you visit Swakop, from paragliding, golfing to quad biking and camel riding. Yes. They have a desert. It's the oldest desert in the world. This is the part of Namibia where the ocean meets the desert.
