I completely agree with you on the airlift comments. I used to have a static wrx and i was super low. but hated driving it. Now i have a 2017 340i on airlift 3p. That was the best decision ever. drives great. looks great. and i am never uncomfortable driving it

I also have airlift suspension on my M2 comp. Most people talking shit bout it have never even tried air suspension. It performs really great on track too.

Totally Bro. I've had an Airrex system on my GTR for 3 years now and it's perfect too. I did my camber very close to oem at drive height so it's awesome. Especially with the additional contact patch of the 275 F / 325 R

people always say bags ruin performance as if some of the top hillclimb and racecars in the world are not on full air suspension. if you're not running something in the kw v3, ohlin, jrz realm of coilovers, your setup wont out perform bags.

True that. I have airlift on my m2 comp, and it performs really good. Last time i was driving track, one dude in a lotus with toyo R888 was blown away because i was as fast as him, with street continentals and air suspension.

Looks sick, but at $16k for the body kit, I will absolutely PASS!! I think people become completely misinformed with these kinds of builds and modifications. They are very expensive...really only made for 1%'ers, and this M2 build as a whole is an easy $100k+, not including buying the M2 in the first place. Just insane.

I never tell anyone it's cheap but it's hard to balance an accurate explanation without coming off as bragging / flexing or discouraging them to accomplish a lifegoal. It's a passion thing for me. I just can't wait to take this thing out on the streets and racetrack.

Let me clear some things up. Just because you have air-ride suspension doesn't mean your car won't stiff and harsh to drive. The lower the tire's tire wall profile. The sensitive the ride quality will be. Coilovers are how much you pay is much you get. Some coilover companies allow customization of your coilover to where the ride quality is great without sacrificing stance look. I will say this Air-ride is more versatile while it's not the best overall performance, it can tune for comfort. While coilovers may be limited in versatility, money is the limit as to far you wanna go with performance while trying to maintain ride quality. Both can really expensive.

To wrapped this in my conclusion. If not really that into performance but need versatility and comfort with a little performance: Air-ride ( Don't lower tire profit so much) If you don't really need versatility and you need a track focus or more driver's car focus: coilovers (Don't be cheap b!tch) (buy good quality tires).

Nah you're not getting too old. I respect your opinion. I know what you mean though. That's why I went with a molded route instead of rivets. Cost me probably 3x as much. Also, I chose a classic Ferrari paint color called Avio Metallic instead of some loud ass neon color. Peep the wheels too. No chrome. Just a brushed clear and satin finish with Titanium Hardware. So you see I tried to balance out the busy-ness

i always find it funny when people be like 6 coats of clear is on the car over the years of painting i realize that don't mean anything it comes down to the product you use, you can use a clear coat that give you the same build in two coats that you would get in 6 coats from a other product lol

Hmmmm. Kit is carbon. Front seats replaced with super light Recaro Podium CF Buckets, Rear Seats deleted, wheels hardware is all Titanium as well as my lug bolts, Aftermarket Exhaust System probably reduced 50lbs+.So add weight? 🤔

@@M2C_mike I've changed the brakes to full carbon ceramics and powder coated the calipers to the same metallic rose gold color as the roll cage. It pops through that organic mesh design.

@JohnTyson I put 200K into this build so I assure you my goal was not about appreciation. Just about creating something that is beautiful to me on the outside and inside. Second, I already have about a million in appreciation for my other cars so I'm good with that. In any case, my cars are for driving and enjoyment so are you serious about taking your 73 CS out to race it against my M2?

The goal for me on the M2 is to race it in the Shift Sector 1/2 mile. The engine that's going in there has already trapped over 183 mph.
