I've been taught to fully steer to the left once I start turning. And then to fully turn it to the right once I start turning back. But traffic's a lot more busy in my country and you have to squeeze yourself into small spaces.

You are doing great work man. I remember doing this method with my past instructor. And it was hard when the instructor is not that cool. Done eveything but we did not do much maneuvers. And it messed my confidence. Looking back, I did wish that I continued on cause now its hard to get the test with all the back log cause of covid. But ye really about confidence and good instructor. Now thinking of doing my test again. These videos are proving to be really helpful!

Thanks, this is really a good guide for parallel parking, though have seen a lot saying we do full lock instead. So we get faults for correcting by moving forward or reversing to straighten up or restarting the whole manouver?

Hi! If full lock works for you then do that. Moving forward to correct the exercise will normally result in a driving fault (minor).

My test end of this month , tested positive with covid 19 from my work place - I apologised to my instructor I’m going to isolate my self for two weeks Is sad 😢 I booked since last year they extended more + staying in a room all days with everything delivering.

Get something cheap that you wouldn't mind scuffing as you likely will scuff it at some point as a new driver. Also aim for something with a good insurance group as insurance is expensive when you start. My first car was a 2008 Toyota Aygo - small and easy to park.

It would be just easier to say "reverse until you see the door handle on top of the kerb". That's everything my instructor taught me and everything I need to safely parallel park almost anyhwere

If this method is more comfortable for you than your instructors method, let them know! say something along the lines of "I learned a different method by watching a different demonstration, could I please try it?" At the end of the day, it's you who will be passing your driving test, not them.

These are always OK to watch but it isn't a real life scenario where most reverse parallel parking is between two cars. A road with that much space behind the car would just have you pull up on the left. Show the maneuver between cars and it would be much more beneficial

You're right. But on the UK driving test you're allowed a space of 2 car lengths which is quite generous which this video shows.

World Driving My seat is so far forward as I am so short. Having a nightmare trying to apply reference points that work for me , my instructor isn't interested in helping my issue , I get so frustrated
