on my first driving test i actually did everything right but he faild me he didnt give me any marks for stoping near a house when i did it correct

I have had a few lessons in the Cannington area. However I heard of Welshpool as well. Do you recommend taking lessons and test here. Torn between Welshpool and Kelmscott. Which one do you suggest? I do live in Northbridge so it doesn’t matter where I take test. Thank you.

Every test centre is okay. If you practised around Cannington/Welshpool that's probably the best option. Welshpool is only a few minutes drive from Cannington, so very much the same. If you prefer less traffic, Welshpool is open Saturday and Sunday if you can catch a booking on those days, that could work well for you.

Another question, are you allowed to have your car on the opposite side of the spot where you want to park? Eg; if i want to do a front left park am i allowed to start my car from the right side of the parking bay

not in all cases. It depends of the nature of error that you make during the "Stopping for shopping" exercise
