Dr. Kwon thanks for all of your research and insight. Have you done any studies on how lie angles affect the swing plane? Do flatter club lie angles generally flatten the plane of motion a player would swing on? Thanks

The shorter the club is, the steeper the swing plane is. For a given club, the lie angle shouldn't affect the plane as it is just a matter of whether the lie angle is appropriate for the swing pattern or not.

Question Dr Kwon-I measured out the correct FSP for my height according to your formula.5 iron is 56 degrees. I set my alignment stick up at that angle and then set my club up right next to it. At address, the club was on top of the FSP and not 5 inches below. Only by dropping my hands further down could I get the club below the FSP. However the toe of the club was now up in the air. Does this make sense? I have not had a chance to hit balls yet. I took your Level 1 and 2 and believe your work is fantastic. Thanks.

Yes. The dynamic lie angle is different from your initial setup position. At the setup the hands stays below the FSP. The FSP generally passes through the trail elbow at the setup position.

My understanding is that the hands are moving up through impact with good players. Is that not true?

True. At impact the hands move upwards. At the low point of the hands, the club is still far away from the impact position.
