Hi Penny. Thank you for talking about DRMTLGY Products as a few of them I’ve been curious about abs a couple Ive not even noticed on their site. I love their Physical SPF44 much better than the Univeral tinted one as it always oxidized on my face. Especially around my brows and hair line. (They did tell me that was an issue they were working on to correct). I do wish the Physical SPF was more dewy. I love their peptide moisturizer. Slowly adding some of their products as I finish others

I use so many of their products thanks to you! I love the micro dermabrasion scrub, their physical and universal tinted sunscreen moisturizers (which are both main stays in my daily routines). I have the pumpkin enzyme mask, the vitamin C serum, and their needless serum. And I agree this is a great brand With excellent customer service. I love dermatology products. Have been using their universal tinted sunscreen forever. Just switched to the physical tinted sunscreen and it works great. I have used the acne serum and the reviews are correct. Took care of my blemishes without drying. I just started using the water cream moisturizer during the day as I have oilier skin and I am loving it.

I used the mineral sunscreen for several months, but found it heavy and greasy, however I really like the Universal hybrid sunscreen. My favorite sunscreen is EltaMD UV Clear untinted..

I totally agree on the soothe and recover cream. It’s one of my fave moisturizers. I use it daily. I like the Hydra fader but didn’t really see any results. My skin felt hydrated and smooth but no benefits from lightening of discoloration. The exfoliating body lotion made me so itchy!! I use retinol and aha body creams often, so it wasn’t the aha in the product. I’m not sure what it was but it was so uncomfortable!

I like to use hydrating antioxidant serums. Green tea, beta glucan, astaxanthin… all great! Isntree (brand) makes excellent green tea products and iunik brand makes my fave beta glucan serum 💕

Thanks for the vid and 25% discount! I am interested in the Advanced Retexturizer cream. I think it might diminish my forehead lines. I love the Peptide Night Cream and also use the Daily Liquid Moisturizer. The products absorb beautifully. I have the Universal Tinted Moisturizer but do not like how shiny/greasy it makes my skin look and feel. I like some glow but it is over the top. Does the mineral version leave such an intense glow?

I just purchased the physical tinted moisturizer. I have extremely oily acne prone skin. I would say it is a natural matte finish with a healthy glow. I really like it. The tint also evens out my skin tone . However it is extremely hot and humid right now where I live, and it does seem more shiny on the very hot and humid days. But I feel like that's just my oily skin. I would definitely recommend!

I've just discovered drmtlgy and I'm loving the physical tinted and soothe and recovery. I use differin at night and Paula's choice benzoyl peroxide. My skin has become very dehydrated and the soothe and recovery is helping. Do you think the acne serum from drmtlgy would be as drying as the Paula's choice? Thank you!

From the reviews it sounds like the acne serum is NOT drying (many people actually remarked about this) so it’s definitely worth trying if the PC dries you out! 💜

Hi there! So with vitamin C just avoid using copper peptides at the same time. AHA/BHAs I like to use opposite retinoids in my routine (vs all at night for example). That’s just me. Im always trying to keep irritation down 💜

Hi Penny, I just starting use DRMTLGY. I bought the Comprehensive Acne System and the Soothe and Recovery Cream but unfortunately the cream Is very greasy all over my face. What are your thoughts? Just to mention before this the only other facial product I used was Proactiv since I was like 18 yrs old and I'm turning 50 this November. I have had and still have hormonal acne but it's really gotten worse lately. I don't know what to do. I'd appreciate any advice you have. Thanks

Yes! The CEF is incredibly good. I used it for a long time. I’ve been rotating my vitamin C products for the last year or so (testing things) so I’ve been using Photozyme and before that Timeless. The Drmtlgy has the right PH, great ingredients for stability (as stable as l-ascorbic acid can be) and is a dupe for Skinceuticals in my opinion 😊😊

I prefer the timeless-but mostly because I like my vitamin C to be watery vs a lotion. It fits better in my routine. The C5 is excellent iIF you want a lotion type vitamin C 💜

Pigment inhibitor … use before or after vit c in the morning and before or after retinoid in the evening?

It depends on the products. If the vitamin C you’re using is a serum, I’d use that first. Other than that, thinnest to thickest rule applies. So if your retinoid is a cream and your pigment inhibitor is a serum then the pigment inhibitor goes first then the retinoid. Thinnest to thickest 💜

Penny, I was waiting for you to mention their Vitamin C 5 moisturizer 🥲😄 if you haven't tried it yet, please do 🥰. It has 5 types of Vitamin C and it brightens the skin really well. It's lightweight and can work as a standalone moisturizer during the day for those with oily skin.

It’s fantastic!! Yes! I use and love Photozyme vitamin C right now (and timeless before that) but I should give the C5 another shot. My issue is fitting in another lotion. But maybe I should use it as my moisturizer? How do you use it?

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE that's great 😊 I use it as my main moisturizer in the morning after a Vitamin C ascorbic serum and then apply sunscreen. At night I'll sometimes use it before a more occlusive moisturizer. It fits nicely in most routines!
