That's because of the father primarily. Not saying Madhuri is not instrumental in their development but Sridevi married Boney and we have a Jhanvi and Hema married Dharmendra and we have Isha. Same is true for Abhishek, Aryan and Sonam. They all have a superstar parent(s) and mostly ordinary people(read socialite, media related) as the other parent. Here these kids have a highly educated father. Madhuri herself was always so down to earth. It helps in having intelligent kids.

@@smt.p.b.7611 Madhuri is very lucky too. Not all heroines have such good luck in both career and personal life. She also had relationships with heroes but she was lucky enough to end up with a sober, well educated and charming man. One thing for sure she had the courage to give up glamour for home and hearth and that not many people are capable of. She sure is very grounded that way. No wonder her kids dress normally and talk sensibly with no history of drugs and other rubbish. Actually this is the real power couple of bollywood. 👏👏👏

This is one celebrity who is truly using their influence to spread good information rather than just product. These sets of celebrity kids are unique meaning they were raised in a normal way even though they are surrounded by pomp and pageantry due to mothers celebrity status. Kudos goes to both parents to keep them grounded and educated in the right path..

Hats off to Madhuri & Dr. Nene for bringing up such brilliant kids. I think this is your biggest achievement despite both of you are on the top in your professions. Most of our young generation is into TikTok, living in the world of Kardashians (starting in Bollywood as well now) & where education is being sadly overlooked. You have no idea how much this is effecting us in a good way!

Yes hats off to Madhuri for her kissing and exposing scenes in movies like Dayavan with vinod khanna, in Vardi with Jackie sheroff. Had multiple affairs with Sanjay dutt, Anil Kapoor etc etc...and after having full enjoyment name fame money, then she got settled with this guy Dr.Nene. wow really hats off to her hardwork. I just wonder how come her children doesn't know about her erotic past or they know everything and they just don't care .. because money is honey 🍯.😂😂😂😂😂.....really hats off to her contributions...

Dont keep repeating this term star kid...it kind of reinforces stereotypes...they are not stars just because Madhuri Dixit is a former bollywood star, they arr simply his sons! So stop using terms like nepo or star kids...that is what creates the problem in thr first place..they are stars bit in their own right.

The quality of the conversation between the kids is simply amazing. They know what they are talking about & the parents also know how to complement and support them. This to me is a text book perfection of parenting. Both these kids are poised to great things not because of their parents but simply because of their own hard work and clarity of thought. Blessings!!

Good talk. My son is a senior and the best thing I did is to leave him to blossom into whatever he wishes to do. Never discussed course work, how many APs he is taking, how is he structuring his 9th-12th grade/courses and he did it all be himself. What I did keep telling him is that it is his journey and I am here to support and encourage him. I actually happened to look at this report cards only in 11th grade because we trusted him and his judgement. Well, that worked for me and my son, but I can’t say that will work for all. The thing parents can do to help their kids is NOT to rub their anxieties onto them, allow them to deal with their ups/downs and not tell them what you want to see of them. Kids go through a lot of issues - puberty, relationships at school, trying to understand themselves and finding an identity for themselves, social media and other social things that we don’t even know of. Add to that anxieties and depression with course work, identity crisis and much more. The best and wise thing to do as a parent is not add to these issues and feed them well, tell them to always give their best in any assignment/course they take and to do their best and whatever happens be supportive of them and very importantly be there for them. Be that sponge to absorb some of their issues and listen to them, talk to them, reassure them that the world won’t end if you get a B grade and your success is not defined by what you did or didn’t at age 18/22. You will know when your kid is happy and a lot of that depends on parents. Wishing all parents and seniors the very best with colleges. I like what my son says, ‘I go to school to learn and I don’t care which college I go to because most colleges give you a good education’. Reputation comes second and as to writing your personal statement or supplementals, he always says big schools look for PQ (personal qualities) besides grades and extra curricular that a kid has done. That is make/break in big schools and some of his close friends were rejected/deferred from Stanford because they don’t have it but they were over achievers at school. Another thing my son told me about Stanford was that your resume should be such that the school wants you vs you wanting the school. That is a huge shift in the mindset for a child and how a school looks at college applicants. Big schools look for kids with unique and wanting PQs vs just overachiever. Cheers and hope this helped. Be there for your child. Your responsibilities don’t end after you give birth to them. Be there for them and they will know if you are genuinely there for them or just showing you care. 😊

When other celebrity kids are invested in fashion vlogs or waiting for Karan Johar to give an acting break here you have these lovely boys focusing on education with which comes so much wisdom! Education helps you develop critical skills like decision-making, mental agility, problem-solving, and logical thinking. People face problems in their professional as well as personal lives. In such situations, their ability to make rational and informed decisions comes from how educated and self-aware you are. Kudos to parenting your kids like normal Indian middle class families. Wishing Arin and Ryan great success in their careers and all the best with Ryan’s college applications! ❤

*While I respect your perspective, I disagree.* Parents should provide their children with a balance of freedom and guidance. Monitoring their progress and ensuring they have the right goals is crucial, especially since many Indian parents already do this. Giving absolute freedom can be likened to asking a monkey to fly a plane. As humans, we lack inherited memory, and during our teenage years, we may not fully comprehend the consequences of our actions. Therefore, it's wise to consider our parents' insights, as they have already navigated through this stage of life."

My older son is just leaving after his winter break, second year and to watch this video at this moment was very emotional. We are constantly planning for our children's future and which great college they will be going to, but once they are out of the house, you yearn for them every single day. Good luck to the boys, more so to the parents!!

I am somehow so proud that Madhuri ma'am and Dr. Nene sir have raised their sons so well, with likely a perfect mix of the 4 quotients while also being reflective and introspective. Obviously the sons did their part too! I'm a 28-year-old, and watching this, I really wish I can raise my kids just as beautifully one day :)

As an Indian it's hard to imagine that this kind of talk can take place between parents and children it looks like a media person having interview with a celebrity but whatever is going on in this video is really good thanks you nene both of you are good psychologist (M & N)

So happy to see your intelligent kids today MD. Ryan seems to already know where to head in his career at such a tender age. Loved Arin's expressions when Ram said you might not have liked his medical entrance exam. He clearly didn't agree to that and neither did considering you were a microbiology student yourself. Please make some more such family talk videos. Looking forward. Good luck to both Arin and Ryan.

Ryan spoke of AI and Data Science in such a way that I, a Master's student in a reputed US university couldn't have explained better. Heck, I'm learning from him how to articulate AI in such a way that everybody can understand! He's a thinker, and I'm so glad this video exists. Kudos to wonderful parenting.

I love how well-spoken and eloquent the whole family is. My family doesn't speak in English as often as I'd like them to, but I really wish my family members would because the only time I get to speak in English is at school with my teachers and peers. Also, Data Science seems like a very interesting field of study, I am intrigued.

You’re such a rooted family . I have two now grown up kids , God willing they’ve done well academically and career wise , are smart and compassionate . I agree with Doctor and Madhuri that it’s important to be supportive but not push too hard or grasp too tight . Children will flourish… parents motivate and guide but shouldn’t pile their own ambitions onto there children

Thank you for the motivation from you and your family, Dr. Nene! This gives me hope. I'm 22 year old female, a current college undergraduate. I've been struggling with depression and anxiety so i stopped my college studies for 3 years after finishing 1 year of it. It hurts me with an additional fact that I should be expected to graduate next year from my course, Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English Minor in Mandarin from my university but yeah, what happened already happened. Still, life goes on and I bumped into this helpful video. I hope I can make through it and be back on the track! Sending regards to you Dr. Nene what an open-minded person you are to understand us younger generation, Madhuri Ma'am (I'm a big fan of her although I'm from your sons' generation) and to your smart sons, Arin & Ryan for their words of wisdom which are empowering and inspiring ❤️ God bless your family & please post more videos/content. Sorry if this is so long 🤣 Thank you so much. Mabuhay from the Philippines.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs. Nene, for raising your kids to be so down to earth and normal. Both kids seem to be very confident, intelligent, smart, and wishing them the very best in their endeavors! It was quite helpful to listen to this conversation as we all are going through similar struggles with college admissions, and how stressful it can be. As a parent, we can support and show our kids a direction, and they will have to chose their own path and go through their own journey to get to their destination. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences with us and wishing Ryan and Arin a very successful journey ahead!

Wonderful video! Having worked in HR for several years and also having done university recruiting work across the U.S. I can say that most organizations tend to look for good team and culture fit... relevant for kids who will spend at least 3-5 years building experience with one of them. While top organizations compete to recruit from top ivy league schools (e.g. USC).. as the saying goes 'what got you there, won't necessarily keep you there'.. ultimately, in addition to the knowledge and skills that come through their doors, organizations want to see that you fit in well with your team, and their culture... its the 'hard' people skills plus the intrinsic motivators that you all discussed. And, as people progress in their careers in good organizations, while they continue to be valued for their brain power.. it also becomes increasingly important to demonstrate passion and people skills... and it is often found that people at the tops of those orgs come from a very diverse set of schools across all tiers and not just the ivy league schools.. I like what Madhuri said about the cream rising to the top.. never ceases to amuse me to see how people take non-traditional career paths to get to roles they end up being good in and love.. many of us end up where we just might have been 'destined' to serve from... along the way of course our friends, colleagues, stakeholders, and internal/external customers, and even strangers, will directly/indirectly tell us where they see us being strong, passionate, and impactful, and showing up naturally great.. and where they see us not being so great. Its the play of our internal and external environments that eventually helps us find a career /path that fits well for us.. and we can be true to, which then others see in a similar light.
