To add to that, Drolta in the games is an old witch, which is the common disguise of the soucouyant. The soucouyant can also go into daylight so long as she wears her skin to protect her real body. Drolta in the show comes out into sunlight, though not directly, and her true form is hidden until the world is in eternal night.

Seeing all her fights compiled together made me realize that in the catacomb fight, she's able to hear things coming (you even see a close-up of her ear before she dodges Annette's sword) and uses it to deflect attacks from behind, but the Abbot is able to grab her because he doesn't make any noise. Then when Alucard arrives, he's completely silent until the sword goes through her back. Nice little touch by the animators and sound designers.

Actually, you're mistaken. The Abbott grabbing her arm had nothing to do with sound, he wasn't a threat and she never expected that he would do such a thing. He was someone she considered an allie for the time being. As for Alucard, he's just ridiculously fast. remember that Alucard is capable of short blitzing like the teleportation sort movement just like Dracula. nobody saw or heard him coming. Also, if Annette was capable taking on Drolta in that catacombs then you'd know the latter isn't really that strong. Regardless, you just gotta admire drolta's design and beauty. Honestly, i wish they made her one of the good guys. Like an avatar or an evil side of Annette that lays dormant inside of her and only comes out when Annette is in a dire situation or she loses control

I kinda hope she stays dead. They built her up so much as this terrifying figure, the “do not fuck with me” bad guy of the series. And then Alucard shows up and INSTANTLY ganks her. No fight, no last-ditch revenge attack, she just fucking dies as soon as he get there. It sets up the power scale nicely-she may be tough, but Alucard is the son of one of the most powerful vamps in history and has been fighting their kind for centuries now. He has the power and the practice to just EMBARRASS her, and the way they just killed her off like that does a phenomenal job of cementing where Alucard stands in the hierarchy.

@@smoothmidnightfudge7450 understandable. Alucard at the start was barley in his 20’s and still a problem. 300 years later he’s likely near draculas scale of power. I found the villains of nocturne less interesting cause unlike Dracula or Carmilla you don’t actually see what pushed them to what they are. We get the implication that erszebet is actually sekhmet or that sekhmet possessed her when she took her blood which sets up a plot for her relationship with her father. I found Drolta being a former high priestess a very interesting background cause it sounds like she changed dramatically to who she is. Giving that villian origin story would definitely help make the story even better

​@@MG007.He only got the time to buff himself BECAUSE of Maria's interference. In a 1v1 with no allies on either side, he would've lost. (He did shred her up well in the earlier fight but you can clearly see she regenerated all of her injuries at the end of the episode, so in a battle of raw attrition Richter has the disadvantage unless he could get enough momentum for a decisive blow...which he can't easily get on his own without his allies comboing with him or giving him breathing room.)

Honestly, she was the baddie of the series. Erzebet was a let down kinda in comparison to Drolta. Drolta is such an intimidating figure that she could be the main villain and I wouldn’t blink. She didn’t have to do much talking. Her mere presence and action scenes showed that she was an intimidating force. I’d like for her to be brought back.

I actually like that we didn't see Erzsbet do too much action stuff. It shows JUST how powerful she is as the Avatar/Reincarnation of a Goddess. She doesn't even raise her hands when Team Rictor attacks, her shield is just there and they don't even crack it. Plus I think it also makes more sense as to why Drolta is so much more physical. She does all the melee stuff because she doesn't want Erzsbet to have too. I can't wait to see what S2 does with Goddess Mode!Erzsbet.

I love how competent Drolta was, while also not loosing her cool. Even after her nails being broken and being cut up by the ice whip she stays calculated and as soon as Erzsbet walks in she abandons her battle and falls in step behind her. She only goes unhinged when she is about to die, and a large part of it is she thinks she's now unbeatable.

Honestly I wish she could have lived more. She could be a rival of sorts to Richter, I mean they even got the opposite colour schemes, light blue and pink, they both prefer to fight at close range using martial arts, as well as their powers and Erzsebet would be more of a group effort, she wouldn't have one special person to deal with her, the whole squad would be needed. That way we would make a fun dynamic with Drolta Vs Richter and it would also make Erzsebet more intimidating as she is so insane they would need the whole team to deal with her, she would be more like a force of nature. Also I can't stop imagining Drolta using her pink fire tail as a whip again Richter blue fire whip.
