Dan, as I've commented on other yacht and boat channels that I watch, Turkey has very much stepped up their game on boat design, build, and their quality of yachts. It looks like they're going to take a large part of the market in a short time.

G'day John, yes I have been to Turkey to visit one factory so far and from what I saw they have a really excellent manufacturing base plus good access to the sea with plenty of people who love boating so it's a natural fit for them. ABsolutely a country to watch for more cool and interesting builds!

It was interesting to hear you briefly describe the shift in the market there (away from stern drives). Same here in the U.S. thanks to the many improvements, across multiple brands, of the outboard engine. Yamaha's Helm Master EX even eliminates the need for a separate $$ autopilot, if so inclined.
