I installed according to video the for my Phantom 3 Standard. The light sensor is not responding. The unit powers on properly and opens and closes the mechanism once power is switched on. But when I try to use the "Turn on, Turn off" button nothing happens. Any ideas?

That one was discontinued more than 2 years ago. It was replaced by the Gannet X, and later we added the Gannet XSport. All Gannet Phantom release are on this page dronefishing.com/collections/dji-phantom-range

I'm just installing my Gannett, it doesn't have turn LEDs on/off in the advanced menu, it has "smart return home” and no other options beneath it, it is a p3 standard, I'll do a firmware upgrade and hope it is there

The standard can not program a button to switch the lights, you need to activate it in the menu each time.

Gannet - Drone Fishing i t was just a simple firmware upgrade and now the option is there in advanced settings, I bought it Christmas 2016 and only flew it once, I'm a little disappointed the battery looks like it has self discharged too low and won't charge, I bought a new battery and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the fast response

2 years without charging is a bit long. The DJI smart batteries will discharge to about 66% when left unused for longer than 10 days, then go into standby mode, this will still use power and after several months when it reaches below 40% they will switch off and should hold that charge. Storage conditions can vary and could result in too low charge levels killing it. Make sure you update the batteries too as even they have firmware built in.

Gannet - Drone Fishing I think I will just bin the original one, I can make a harness and attempt to bump charge it but for the sake of $65 I'll just buy another battery, I got a generic one and it works quite well.

What's the max weight is safe for flying out?

Zmonsta Pyro 600-800g, the drone can lift more but that does not translate to safe flight

Robert Kelly only in some countries witch conditions like in France only if the drone is heavier than 2kg. Or only if flown over people.

If it says Phantom on it, it is the right one. Your choice would be which one of the 3 models you would like. They all work.
