I know its been over a year since you droned this bridge but ..it's awesome the way you captured the motorcyclist at the 1:25 mark. Truly professional Ken. Love it!

backwards sport mode @ 1:56??? nice! Did you manually orbit around the train bridge? You are doing a great job of promoting Tennessee!!
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yeah, there's so much to see in this state if you just drive a little! Full disclosure... That shot was reversed! If I had actually flown backwards, the props wouldn't be visible and I might have hit the bridge.

Excellent video again, Ken. Editing really makes it. I spotted the other drone way earlier in the video from when you asked to find it! We have a non-operational RR bridge here in Cape May, NJ. I've heard the history of it but no more trains come all the way to the Cape so it just sits in the open position rotting away. I was glad to hear that your photo miss wasn't going to be a drone crash!! Great humor, too. It puts the icing on most videos I watch on KZbin.

Cape May NJ!!! I used to explore the "haunted" 'Christian Admiral Hotel' on the beach road there back in the 80s!! Do you remember that place? It was amazing. I love Cape May! Thank you for the comment and the compliment!!!

I first noticed the other Phantom at 1:42 in the video before you asked the question. Thought it was a white bird, but it was flying too straight. Beautiful bridge. We have lots of them in Maryland, but the DC flight restrictions negate any possibility of flying around them. :(

Thank you! No special settings needed, just be aware that if you are too close to moving water, the drone may want to follow the pattern of the water, thinking it's locking-in for stability. Other than that... Have fun!

Great video my friend.. I would like to ask a question... I have a Dji 4 but I am a little worries about flying it close to metal bridges as I have been told the metal messes with this signal between controller and drone is this right? Do you experience any issues when flying near metal? Thumbs up for me.. 👍
@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
Hey Rich! Only the COMPASS will be affected if you calibrate near metal. But that's it. Sometimes if a bunch of metal gets between you and the controller it will mess with it, but only if you are very far away.
@Richcovephoto8 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for answering my question.. I am still getting use to using my Dji 4.. thanks again and have a great week. Love your vids!

Hey Michael! Thanks for saying that. It means a lot coming from a REAL pilot! My friend Gary (he's in a few drone videos) is an EMS guy here in Tennessee, so I really appreciate what you guys do. Hey Ken, you're good at this! Quick question though: do you, or did you ever experience a fear of heights when drone flying? I took my new Phantom 4 into the sky and was pretty freaked out by the height once I put it above the tree lines. I've always had a fear of heights. I'm hoping the jitters subside with time

@ryccoh8 жыл бұрын
Beautiful footage once again but your attempts at editing to the beat of the song seemed kinda awkward. I think it might work better when flying towards the bridge and then you cut out pieces so it comes closer to the bridge every time the beat hits on the approach Idk if that makes sense.

@KenHeron8 жыл бұрын
Hello Brian! First, let me say that when I was your age, I was playing records and watching too much Six Million Dollar man on TV. That said, I think it's GREAT that you have found something that you enjoy doing, so keep up the good work! You did, however, ask for a few tips... I'd say try and make less jerky movements with the controls. In order to get those "cinematic" fluid turns you must make smaller corrections and anticipate your visual targets. I like the music choice, and the subject matter is wonderful! One more thing... Maybe tone-down the color correction on some shots. A few were very cartoon-bright. --I love your enthusiasm Brian! Keep at it1
