I have crossed The Lake Pontchartrain bridge over a thousands time. My father help to build this bridge, he tied steel. He was a skill iron worker/rod buster. He would tell us how he had to swim in the water and walk on high scalpers. Also, he helped to build the New Orleans Superdome/Mercedes. Lastly, he was in the Ironworker Union. I'm so very proud of my father. The late J, W. Monday, Sr.

So glad you included the grass bridge. I watched a documentary some years back showing how one group of women gathered the grass, then another group wove it into long strands about the diameter of their arm, and then the men joined these into the length of the span and then platted them into the main suspension spans ending up with what you show here.

The Mackinaw Bridge. It connects the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Lower Michigan. It is 7 miles long. It is known for big storms & high winds. Sometimes the bridge has to be closed because these winds have blown vehicles off the span. It's a long way down to the water below.
@marieannbrooke52393 жыл бұрын
Only 5 miles long. They do escort some vehicles across in high winds with a speed limit of 20mph. Very occasionally do they close it. And they will drive your vehicle across for you if you are afraid. On Labor Day it is closed from 6:30 til noon so people can walk across it. 21,000 crossed in 2021. Only two vehicles have gone over the side. One was a suicide and they other was a small car called a Yugo. Also a possible suicide. We have crossed it many times I. Our car/ and 45 ft motorhome with a car being towed behind. Only twice did we have to be escorted across.

I was glad to have them as these guys are on the verge of vanishing all illegal forex traders. They have got maximum knowledge about the forex trading, Binary Options and how to recover lost bitcoins. i was Defrauded by several fake investment firms like 24option, cryptomine, fxtrade goal and 2 others . I lost about $151000 and when enquired for withdrawal they started with their crazy excuses which ruin my life but i was able to recover all lost bitcoins and i also invested and made more money by the help of crown tech. you can contact them via Whatsapp +12134218707 or email atm.tecnology @ gmail . com

Some of those bridges just look dangerous because of their height about the ground. You left out the original Tappan Zee bridge in NY, over the widest part of the Hudson River. When I last crossed it, decades ago, it was OK. But apparently, it really deteriorated over the years, to the extent that it has since been replaced. There are also apparently thousands of other bridges in the US that might not look dangerous, but have degraded into terrible condition, such that people using them don't have a clue how much they are taking their lives in their hands when using the bridges.

I have gone over the Skyway Bridge in Florida, & it was a horrible experience. The high peak of the bridge looked like it disappeared into the sky before we reached it & once we crossed it. I HATE BRIDGES! & very high highways! My anxiety will not let me cross them.

As a ghanaian who has walked on all 7 walkways at the kakum national park, they are not as dangerous as you make out.
