Good info in the homeowners insurance covering the drone for personal use. Only problem many policies have $250-500 deductibles which probably exceed the cost of repair but would certainly be helpful if your buddy flew off and disappeared ! Enjoy it. Your videos just keep getting better!

Congrats on the license and if you are flying in an area where you think you may need insurance all you need is the verifly app. Per flight costs are only around $10. Very reasonable. Costs based on location and length of flight time.

Eric.. another interesting fact: Most cyclist think that their homeowners or renters insurance will cover all bikes...It does NOT. Once a motor is put on a bicycle, it is classified differently than a bicycle. (at that point, not even the pedals are covered by your homeowners or renters insurance if the bike is stolen or damaged. ) there is only once company that i'm aware of that covers Ebikes. The insurance is called Velosurance by Markel insurance company. They only insure Electric assist bikes. Don't make the mistake of thinking that Ebikes and bicycles are the same in regards to insurance coverage. Thanks for the information about drones. I know that some countries and even counties have laws that prohibit the use of drones. So now the local laws or you can face upto $5k fine for flying in restricted areas.

Always check for restrictions where you plan to fly. Kitty hawk seems to be the most accurate app for such info.

i'm thinking of adding electric assist to my trike.. have you had any problems with your electric assist malfunctioning?

Occasionally the display will just turn itself off for no apparent reason. I can just turn it back on and it's fine though. I have a feeling I could replace the display to fix that, but it's not worth it just yet.
