What are drone swarms and why might they matter?
A mob of them is on the hunt in a mock US city. 🏙️
The American military's research and development unit set up the fake urban area to experiment with hundreds of unmanned systems.

Even if a drone was completely destroyed in the process then it could still be seen as a cheap method of assassination with no Risks to the operator.

there people print fake money to fund their wars in the first place, its crazy that Babylonians still believe in the golden calf that these war technologies are going to "bring them prosperity through protection" that is a poisoned Poseidon and its a lie that will cost the future dearly. They do not have to worry about a trip back, they are used to wasting payloads in random artillery borages do don't think there isn't enough boom boom to go around just cause they switch to drones their accuracy will make it easy to kill the most people with the least random boom boom barrages. LIke a Green Parties version of "Green clean sustainable warfare" right cause nukes destroy life drones get the bad guys! Yeah for the Golden Calf and mutually assured destruction of Babylon!!!!!

Some companies in China have a high level of automation. But even more, they have the right mix of high automation for steps that can be automated on the one hand, and cheap and efficient labor on the other hand. If it comes to produce and assemble smart phones, notebooks, or drones you need both. In addition, they have the largest stock of development engineers on the planet.

Good concerns. What are the limits and who imposes Rules of Engagement when subtlety and safety are thrown out the window during initial days of any given conflict of a major scale is underway. Just watched this one KZbin video of where WW2 American pilots were swarming over mainland Japan. Those guys would swarm any given area and just shoot up the entire place - all buildings, civilian, military & manufacturing (+ fishermen) all were not immune - but the pilots were because of one thing - A war. War of a grander scale breeds a level of contempt for the opposition when your friends and family and everyone you know - are killed and threatened.

Most of these systems are constructed shielded and with lock designation software meaning once you set a target it doesn't matter if you lose direct communication or gps they intercommunicate and strike using synchronous image tracking. I'm sure they have or will have some countermeasures if one or a few go down probably spread out formation. About your only bet to win is a surprise attack from a row of automatic fire flak cannons or a team of Olympic skeet shooters.
