That was an elegant, slender, and kind of delicate looking bridge, with precious little clearance for large maritime traffic to pass between the support pillars.

Why would a ship that size even be trying to maneuver under or around that bridge is odd. And how it fell made it look like the bridge wasn't strong to begin with

@@rodjamison5797 The Dali was not bigger than any other ships the come here. The ship lost power and steering.

Most bridges have concrete pylons by the channel span columns to protect them.
