Funny you mention tightening bolts on the frame. Just got a brand new Elf and first flight within seconds a motor broke loose from the frame! Disaster! I had no idea to check screws and bolts on brand new stuff but I will be checking every time now! Thanks. This one looks great!

Hi Justin, still kinda green behind the gills dronin but you sold me on this little scaly wag, and I loved it initially but something went terribly wrong. Granted my chops aren't great but after just a few flights it started acting squirrelly. After arming instead of idling in place on the ground it started hopping around like a bunny rabbit. Not to be deterred I flew it anyway and this last time the throttle went full on AI. It just took off and pull down as I might on the throttle she just kept on ascending and accelerating. Just as it winked out of visibility I hit the kill switch and she dropped I presumed on the roof of the warehouse building who's parking lot I was utilizing. Long story short I bribed a guy who had access to the roof with a case of Corona and got my freestyle back. Now however when I I connect the batteries I either get just the first 3 notes of the ESC song then lights out or the the chime does a rapid succession of 16th notes but does not bind with my QX7. The quad appears fully intact So I'm assuming this is maybe due to the drop onto the roof. Love your vibe and vids and wondering if you might have any advice before I just buy another one. Thanks.

Appreciate advice but couldnt find anything wrong visually. It’s a mystery so I just ordered another one (my 4th Tinyhawk Freestyle). Lost 1st one in very tall tree. 2nd one broke frame in grass crash (ouch), and last one just went loopy but I’m an Emax customer for life and I love flying this model more than my Hawk 5, more than my Eachine EX2 mini or my Mavic mini. Hopefully 4th times the charm.

Just bought this drone after seeing this video! I see that you don't use the screws on the propellers. When I google the emax freestyle drone I ding that it's about 50/50 split between those who use the screws and not... do you think they are unnecessary? I have pressed the propellers in place... and quite frankly I can't get them of to align the screw holes anyway...

I just got one of those today and the 25mW VTX was disapointing until I figured you can change the power and crank it up to 200, 500 and even 800 (check smartaudio it's enable by default on this bird)

4.5 mins is its biggest downfall do you get a warning as in beeps? or does it just fall if you don't bring it down in time ?

Huh? 4.5 minutes is a good flight time for casual freestyle. I'm sure it beeps as you asked about, but even if it doesn't out of the box, it's just a couple mouse clicks in betaflight - same as any BF based quad these days, so don't worry about that. You can even set what voltage you'd like the beeps to start, so you can bring her back home in time.

It looks like the vtx is build in... So not compatible with spektrum out of the box....like most the good stuff. I just got annoyed 3days ago and made a right first step and ordered the Frsky taranis X-lite. Im so over the Spektrum. No more brownouts, Failsafe, lost planes or quads and most importantly: that bulky dx6 transmitter that is heavy ass and awkward to haul around is now on the way to retirement home! I'll be putting it up for sale. No more looking back. Spektrum is dead! No more new quads,or helis or planes made. They are so behind. And the price of anything they make is ridiculous!

Purely based on specs: the geprc phantom beats this one almost on all levels and it only weighs around 3grams more. What is it, that makes you so much more excited about the TH Freestyle? (Did you try these props on the phantom?)

I'm asking myself just the same- imo the 200mw on the phantom compared to the range limitation of the 25mw on the TH without mentioning the better receiver options etc. + IMO the TH Freestyle would perform similar (if not better) with those 65mm HQ props- so Justin what would be your your thoughts comparing those 2 models?

Kabab and andyrc both like the TH freestyle way more. More power and better flight time. Problem might be, that if you put these props on the geprc phantom, motors get way too hot (phantom has 1103 8000kv instead of 7000kv on the TH)
