Just got the controller and LOVE it! Haven't range tested it, but only use it for the Tinyhawk Freestyle 2 right now and love the simplicity. My recommendation: Get the BetaFPV Controller... the Tinyhawk 2... and whichever box goggle (BetaFPV is probably a little better for the ability to record... or better yet just get the Sky02C if you don't want box). I'm far sighted so the box goggles do NOT work for me.

was thinking that's a great kit to start with but the tx that comes with it is locked into bayang protocol whatever that is. so you can't bind with any frsky drones. you can get the frsky version of the tx but that's sold separately. so almost perfect but not quite.

I like that the beta can do tight flips and the controller is better from what I can see. Didn't hear much how the goggles performed with the beta flight kit compared to the tiny hawk kit,but i would probably say they preform similar. I know the tinyhawk 2 can be set to 200mw for better reception coupled with being able to use beta flight so you can switch it to a better transmitter. The beta flight kit here just looks fun and would be a great starter kit that someone could learn and have hours of fun on. Thanks for the video!

i went with tinyhawk 2 not RTF reason was the transmitter, i had a stick trasnmitter already for modified fpv rc trucks. i took a 360 nosedive to pavement. just blowed the dust off. and were ready to go. 25-200mw vtx, 1s-2s, Betaflight. indoor/outdoor. and thanks to justin im to up 6quads in 2 months ish XD. youre gonna crash! so best to start with one of these, + tip! you need a minimum 6x 1s. you know after youre first charge ^^ you need more.

Any way you could describe the binding process? I'm a noob to all this... I press the bind button and power up the quad. This keeps the green LED on solid. Then I go into the transmitter and press the button on the back to bind. I can't get it past this, it won't bind. Am I missing a step?

Good review Justin! Looking to get a couple of these kits for our church youth group. I think the controller can also be used as a game controller on sims like fpv freerider. This would also give it a slight usability/flexibility advantage over the tiny hawk rtf kit, correct? Although the tinyhawk I think you can connect the quad's USB into the sim computer and then use the tx . So there is that additional connection or piece of hardware (the drone itself). Betaflight "set usb_hid_cdc = on" for that pass-through gaming function.

I just got the Tinyhawk 2 RTF kit. Dang it. But no betaflight and only 25mW, idk if thats worth the nicer controller and DVR, hmmm. Longer flight with the 1S tho is nice. I do like the way they arranged the case more than the TH2 RTF. I think I’m glad I got the TH2 RTF bc otherwise I’d heck of a time deciding!

Do you know where I can find what the original pid is? I had to replace the mainboard in mine because of a water splash, and the new silverware board is really twitchy. Only way I can set it is via the goggles at this time.

Almost any. Just have to know the receiver your buying on the quad.
