You can change the auto inverted, in flight controller to professional. Which keeps it the same as if flying true 3d where if flying upside down when push up heli will go down. Good to learn that way. For later when fly true 3d your muscle memory is already built

3D flight makes my mind go BOOM! The inverted feature might make it more approachable. But I wonder if it'd throw you off when you switch back to a traditional 3D heli? Like training wheels.
@trexinvert2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's exactly what happens. There is a non-inverted mode and then a mode for inverting(idle up). This may also correspond to mild head speed and then high/responsive/screaming head speed. Also, the throttle stick(left) response changes depending on idle up or not. This change can be quite jarring. Also, the helicopter may "turn" and end up "nose-in" which may dis-orients most beginners to push/pull the sticks in the wrong direction. Knowing where to fly and "speed to flick" the "panic switch" is a skill in itself. It has to be an instinctive reflex. Not something that requires mental decision making. It's on the ground by then.

I have two of the helicopters and have had good experiences with both. I am having an issue that I cant seem to figure out. One heli will fly 10-12 minutes...no issues. The second on will only fly for a couple minutes then go into a low power situation and land on its own. Any insight as to why it does that would be helpful. Any thoughts on that?

The problem with FPV helicopter that flies just like a quad and handles just like a quad is that you can't tell whether you are flying a quad or flying a heli. All you can feel is that a computer flies the craft for you.
@chrisbee54813 жыл бұрын
@@johncgibson4720 is that meant ironically or you really mean its a problem to fpv a heli and mistake it for a quad? Or you just saying it is easy to fly a computerized device? It is expensive and a pain in the ass to repair a heli if you crash. So many mechanical moving parts compared fixed pitch quad. Collective pitch has more manuverability. I know you fpv Helis.

Having auto pilot for almost everything takes the fun and challenge out of it but I guess you have to start somewhere. I just don't see you learning as quick than if you did not have all those aids. I remember my first "non auto pilot" heli and it was so much fun to learn from all the basics and eventually get to a stage that you do not need all the electronic assistance.
