Love the “raw” takes when reviewing filaments and the app section :)

And you can actually get 16 different colors if you get the hub and 3 more ams

I've been using the Bambu Lab A1 Combo for 7 months now. I love it. I don't have a moister problem with my filament, because I live in Southern Arizona, 10-20% humidity. Thanks.

20% Rh? Nice! Up here in Washington, we have a fair amount of rain and many bodies of water. A 'dry' day up here is 40-60% Rh. Fortunately, food dehydrators are cheap and mine can hold 8 rolls of filament. It runs hot enough to dry out silica-gel packs...or fuse an entire roll of PLA into a solid lump. Oopsie.

🤣 [ never thought about such climates in England ] Bonus!

Your filament is more than likely brittle because of moisture. You need to dry your pla. Also I'd recommend sunlu pla. I've been using it this past year and it's great. It's much cheaper. Also you can use the bambu pla settings instead of generic and it's just faster and works great.

I am looking at this printer. Thanks for the review. I also would like to know about 3-D software as well.
@miketollefson75362 ай бұрын
It is an amazing printer. However, as you mentioned in the video, you can not use 5 filaments at one time. You can only use the AMS by itself, or the external spool by itself.
@irishrose897752 ай бұрын
You can do up to 16 colors at a time. You just need to add 1 or 2 more ams units!

And you kinda covered it, but I'm guessing the filament issue was mostly due to water in it.

I'd recommend looking into pla cf. It's not very good. Plain ol pla is better for strength.

Hey man, I’m a studying dental technician and am hoping for a filament printer that is accurate enough to print dental models. I’m wanting a printer for home to study for my certification. Is this X1C the most accurate FDM printer I’ll find? I use a resin printer at work and would like to avoid the mess. Obviously the accuracy is awesome though. Let me know your thoughts :) Thanks
@dronecamps3 ай бұрын
I think for this price range yes. Resin is best for that. But home use this printer is the only one I need.

Can you use PET filament?

Yes
@cloudyview23 күн бұрын
X1C has hardened steel for hot end and extruder gear - you can basically print anything, but gf/cf can't go in the AMS, since that's just plastic gears.

At the beginning of the video I had a suspicion he didn't really know much about printing. Then he got the glue stick out ..... Confirmed!

Lol. Confirmed! It's insane how many printers I have had in the past 8 years on this channel. Ive reviewed most of the Creality ones. Bambu makes nice stuff though.

Hmmm i got 5 of these and i have 4 voron siboors. the Voron Siboors are way more reliable, way more consistent good results. I dont rate the bamboo the best. If i were to start over again i would have just gone for all vorons. But the build time of the vorons is a lot. but they are so much more versatile, reliable and infinitely customizable, they also move with the times. My older vorons have been updated to the newer specs. So you never have to throw them away, you just upgrade them.

For the love of God, stop smearing your build surface with glue. It's completely unnecessary.... The only reason you may need glue is as a release agent when printing PETG on the smooth Pro build plate. Otherwise...NO GLUE NECESSARY. I don't even own a glue stick.

I don't think there will be any change to their existing printers. The next release will likely be larger build volume, multi-tool, multi-head, or some combination of those three. They've already handily covered entry through upper mid tier, but all at smaller volumes. The only thing that makes sense is larger, and/or multi-tool 👍
