We have been hearing your name so many times for 1 year. You and I were both curious and wanted it to be examined. I think it wouldn't be wrong to say that Bambu Lab left its mark especially in the last year and officially turned the 3D printer market upside down. I also used the X1 Carbon Combo for a long time and did a lot of tests using it, enjoy watching.

Honestly the cheaper p1s imo is the better deal aa long as you control it from the app or slicer which you will most of the time and your ok with the downgrade on the camera to 0.5 fps instead of the 30

@@zrampagegaming2674 In my opinion, P1S is an advantageous printer in terms of price. Although the camera resolution is a little low, this is not a problem for many users. But for some users, having Lidar may be important. Is it worth the price difference? I am not sure.

Almost everything that makes the X1C so good is also on the P1S and the price is a lot lower. Sure, you don't get the fancy touchscreen, but so far I'm not missing it at all. And the P1S actually shows that the Lidar is not really needed, since prints are just as good as the X1C and tuning your profile per filament can make them even better ...
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 3 ай бұрын
I haven't used P1S yet, but the majority of users share the same opinion as you. In my opinion, the screen is not very important, I think Lidar may make a small difference in quality. I think the most important thing of all is that the table can reach 110 degrees. This is especially advantageous for industrial filaments such as ASA. While adhesion to the tray becomes easier, the inside of the printer remains warmer.
@MisterkeTube
@MisterkeTube 3 ай бұрын
@@3DPrintLab1 I would counter that with the fact that the P1S enclosure is plastic and hence less heat conductive than the Aluminum enclosure of the X1C, so that would make the P1S better for high-temp filaments. Bottom-line is that both can handle the same set of filaments (if you get the hardened steel nozzle and hardened extruder gears for the P1S) and as such the X1C is just the more luxurious one, but functionally not really better. Especially if you go multi-color or multi-material the lidar is more a pain than a blessing as it can only tune the first filament used. The idea was ground-breaking when Bambu introduced it, but meanwhile has basically been proven an unnecesary luxury. In fact, I expect a successor to drop the lidar in favor of some of the tech used in the A1 mini to get info on the pressure at the nozzle to allow tuning flow on the fly rather than with a pesky analysis using lidar on a couple of lines solely on the first layer. I'm really curious to see what Bambu brings us in the coming months. But to get back on topic: since your sole negative on the X1C was the price, the answer is simple: P1S.

When I bought my X1 Carbon combo I also bought a package with it that included some Polyterra filaments and 2 od them were the same colour as the Bambu Lab filament it came with and I am convinced Bambu Lab filament is the same as Polymaker filament, when I ran out of green BL filament I let the print continue with Polymaker green filament and I saw no difference whatsoever. The Polymaker is cheaper than the Bambu Lab filament, the only difference is you don't get an RFID tag but I can live with that!
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 3 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I can live with that too :) I also heard from somewhere that Bambu filaments are produced by Esun, but since there is no difference in the printing you make, it is possible that Polymaker also produces Bambu filaments.
@AndrewAHayes
@AndrewAHayes 3 ай бұрын
@@3DPrintLab1 I have quite a few Esun spools but because they are quite old I don't use them in the AMS as I am scared they may break in there and I hate taking anything apart that didn't build myself, I only use them with my 2 Ender 5 Plus machines and my Pro 3D V-King 400 that I built prior to getting my X1C, I shall have to see if I have any matching colours to the BL and Polymaker filaments

My only issue with x1c in general is with gold textured pei and PLA. Extruder clog is extremely common in medium/warm temperatures. I can’t go beyond 55 celcius (top glass of, front glass open, wide open area) or extruder/nozzle is clogged. PLA users should definetly consider p1p if they’ll use it with textured pei.

Very good review - especially at 13:53 was very interesting. But 15:20 shows that something is wrong with the printer or settings. I own a Prusa MK3S+ (200 mm/s), and have to say, I get maximum 0.02 mm tolerance max since years (I am a product designer). Sliced parts or 2 parts like this in the mid - never happened. Is this normal that when you make 2 parts that they don't fit together? Because I overthink to buy a X1 Carbon. Thanks for your answer. Interesting at 20:15, that the time differences between 250mm/s and 500mm/s are only 39 min., or between 150mm/s and 500 mm/s is only 1:55h... I know that it depends on the model and so on, but interesting to see, that some models can't print faster, even if it is theoretical possible. At 22:11 i have to say, my Printer you cant hear even at 200mm/s. I made dampers, it has no enclose, but I work 50 cm beside and can't hear it working.
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 Ай бұрын
Thank you very much🙏 I didn't pay attention to the junction point in the ABS print. I think it has something to do with my settings. I think it can be fixed. The reason for the time difference between speeds is that the printer cannot reach a speed of 500mm/sec at every point. For example, in the test I did for 500mm/sec, the printer may have reached an average speed of 300-350mm/sec; it is not possible to measure this exactly. We can only clearly see the effects of speed on duration with a single-wall print in surface mode. The X1 Carbon is not a quiet printer, especially with all the fans on. I don't think you can work 50cm away from the printer for very long :) It is currently working 10 meters away and I can hear its voice very clearly :)

@@3DPrintLab1 Thank you very much for your answer. 🙂 Can't you fix the fan noise problem by your self? When I had years ago a creality, I had also to make some adjustments to make it silent. For e.g. exchange the vans and so on. Do you know if fixes for this problem exists? Because this noise would be a NO GO to me, I have to say 🙂
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 Ай бұрын
@@tamgaming9861 You are welcome. Of course, it may be possible to solve this problem. There are premium class fans like Noctua in the market. Noctua fans are very quiet. However, it will not be possible to purchase and use these fans directly because the fan types and sizes are not suitable for the printer. Maybe it can be done with a few modifications. But I'm not sure about that either, because the X1 Carbon is a printer that notices even if you change the build plate and does not start printing, saying you used the wrong build plate :) So I'm very confused about this. It seems like it would be a difficult change.
