CRASHING MY PITTS S-1S 850mm on MAIDEN FLIGHTS

Things like this happen to all of us man, you learn from it and move on. We had a bunch of good flights that day just the one mishap. Thanks for coming up to fly with us bud

Trait of all tail wheel planes... you have to work the rudder a lot during takeoff while you spool your motor up. It's called the "P" factor. I have this 850mm Pitts on order right now, out of all the planes I have in my hangar the UMX version is my favorite grab & go plane. The 850mm bird should be easier to co trolandbe more sportier.

What would be amazing to see would be model planes that shot real bullets and have an Arial dog fight maybe coming in low over the lake taking a strafing run at one of your model boats lol Joe that’s a video I would love to see

Well welcome to the I crashed a Pitts 850mm club. Crashed mine on the 3rd flight, I use 45% expo on the ailerons now and its much better. Looks fixable and sorry to see you crash.

I gave it my friend angel and he hasn't decided to fix or just salvage the rec/esc im still pissed off about it. Ive been flying for along time but this bird really pissed me off I was actually about to smash it more..ugh

@@DronemanJoeRc I feel your pain, The 1400mm pitts is a much better flyer however the best bi plane I have flown is the Flex Mamba 10 V1. Do you have Real Flight ? Maybe we can fly together some time online.

Joe this is part of our hobby, gravity dosen't have a lot of second chances. The 850 Pitts is a fun flyer, keep flying, remember that nobody was hurt. That's what my flying buddies would always tell me after whacking a plane into the turf. Jeff in LA USA

Biplanes have a lot of drag, so in order to glide you have to have the nose way down power off. Also they lose energy quickly if not careful.

My Flite Test Biplanes (SE5 and Triplane) have down right thrust built into the firewall. Very easy to takeoff and land. I kind of wish all prop planes had some degree of down right (check out the UMX Timber)

I just got the UMX Pitts S1S. I'm putting in 50% expo on the ailerons for low rates, and 30% for high rates. Don't want to accidentally invert it on takeoff!

An unfortunate crash, because of my lack of skill and crashes I gave up flying last year. Still love watching the videos and have a few new hobbies.

Get a UMX Radian: It's a slow flying, self-righting, fun plane. How I became comfortable flying after 20 years of not.

When you take off with a tail drag you need to use right rudder on take off. Also, you knew it was a twitchy plane so you should have turned down the throws and increased the expo. Don't beat yourself up tho. We've all been there!

Yeah I know and thanks, I should of known better. But for some reason of all the times I have crashed and yes we all crash this one really pissed me off. Thanks for the advice!!
