Wreckless Fpv O I have respect for anything in the air even birds, tho I have had a few run ins with them before earning a callsign crow I do enjoy sharing the skies with them! Trust me it’s cool if you ever go gliding and you’re in a thermal with a hawk and you circle each other it’s priceless! But back to drones I’m ok with them just stay clear of planes as we do! I know here in Canada you can call transport and set up an airspace for a day to fly but unless you have permission from the pilot don’t come near us but hey if you got a radio and can talk to me and are safe to fly formation cool but prior notice is need and it’s the the law of the air! Pilots may sound like we own the sky but hey we follow the laws and rules that we are trained for and we are always uneasy with drones cause you’re on the ground and we are up there!

Stefano Mariani I would point in the direction of rcmodelreviews videos, he has a number of videos of trained pilots landing on closed runways being used for other things like drag racing. He had his radio on and had a notam notice out. You say that pilots follow the law and I would say that most of the time you do but not always and it’s same with rc fliers. We fly below the 400 meter threshold you can have above it

Wreckless Fpv O I totally understand there is always that 10% of the each world pilots or drone operators that are either new or just belligerent to the laws set for us! As pilots will do have altitudes restrictions as we have to be above 500ft agl over unpopulated areas or 1000ft above the tallest structure in a populated area. And there are those pilots that don’t read notams and end up running the fun! Maybe it’s the just the media pushing forth drone related problems but it is new and till people settle in and less oblivious people are playing and flying drones I will still be wary of drones! God I would hat to be poor pilot in London who’s passenger jet had its wing tip destroyed by a drone!

(Im not from the us, btw) However, if youre the one who had an accident, your laying on the ambulance bed cuz u have been seriously injured (imagine your leg got squeezed by a metal press). And see that someone is taking photos/videos (whether your using ur phone, a classic camera or a camera mounted on a Remote controlled object, doesnt matter at all) of you and your worst day. This method to see things is called Empathy, btw.

It is Illegal to fly over emergency services of any kind in the USA. Also, if flying in a legal area and you see any aircraft of any kind, you MUST land the drone immediately! that is the LAW. people like this is the reason why the FAA is trying to make it illegal to fly ANY unmanned aircraft unless at an approved AMA site.

I love the message you added about building good relations, unfortunately there seem to be a lot of cases where authority believes they have the right to set their own rules based on their own opinions but I also see situations where people are genuinely interested and want to learn about them which is definitely a good thing. I think the main issue is that there is a lack of knowledge about drones but they are becoming more and more common these days so hopefully information will become more readily available. I also think that there is some sort of misconception about these drones being radio controlled toy helicopters that the pilot can easily lose control of but they have a lot of built in technology and safety features which actually make them very safe and easy to fly. Of course accidents can still happen but they are much safer than people think.

The reason there's a law against flying your uav around a crash site. It's because there might be a Care Flight helicopter coming in. This guy was being warned, but wanted to argue instead. When you argue with cops you usually lose. But, some people just love the confrontations and drama they can create.

As long as it's in public you can. You can't enter the scene. Example would be reporters. But I wouldn't run my drone up right over it and the cops, lol. I would fly just far back enough so they emergency workers wouldn't be concerned about it falling near them.

Damn the guy in the first video was having a shitty day. The cops have stopped me before when I was flying fpv in a local park when nobody was there. And I guess they have the right to come up to me a basically yell in my face when I have the goggles on scatting the living death out of me because I didn’t hear them come up and making me crash my fucking drone that at least cost about $200 a little more or a little less because of part prices going up or down. This was when I was starting to fly and it kinda turned me off flying for a little while. But back to what happened they ask me the basic questions and I give them the answers. Question did you make the drone. Answer yes I did. Question number 2 is it safe ? Answer its pretty safe except when you touch the spinning props then you could get a nasty cut. So we go back and forth for a while them asking me questions and me giving them pretty honest answers. Then one of them tells me to show them how it works and I go get the drone. But for some reason the other cop thinks I’m running away from them and basically screams at me to stop running. I do and they both walk over to me and the cop that screamed at me to stop running asked why did I run away and I told him that the other officer told me to get the drone and show them how it worked. So the cop says ok and I go to the drone plug in a new battery and show them how it works. The cop who screamed at me to stop then says I don’t think it’s safe to fly it right here. And I ask very politely why not and he’s says there are to many people here. Aka no people at all. So I go to pack up my drone and leave and the cops says I can’t leave until there supervisor comes to see the drone and to evaluate the situation. So I wait and wait and wait until the supervisor shows up about and hour to an hour and a half later. So this is where they start fucking lying to the supervisor in front of me and telling him that I was chasing people around the parks field and shit like that. At this time there were people there just hanging out and not paying me or the police any attention at all. The supervisor talks to me and says that he wants to see me fly the drone. So I pull out a new battery and my second pair of goggles and then I put my goggles on and plug the battery in and I tell the cop to look through the other pair and we start flying. About maybe two min later I hear another cop show up and I’m like what the hell are they gonna arrest me for something. So I land the drone and then take off the goggles and disarm the drone and put everything away. Then the supervisor comes back over to me after talking to the other cops and tells me to put my arms behind me back and the basic cop speech about anything and everything will be used against you in a court of law blah blah blah. So basic shit. I ask why are they arresting me and he says because I was a danger to his and other police and people’s lives and that I was chasing people around the park and diving on them. Totally bull shit. But I comply and the take me to a holding cell at the police station and I’m there for about a night until my lawyer shows up and my parents bail me out. At this point I was 16 years old. So the moral of the story is If the police come over to you and ask you to show them and or tell them what you are doing with that drone be polite act calm and don’t do anything stupid. But if they are rude and lie about what your doing then still corporate but get a good lawyer and still don’t do anything stupid. FUCK THE POLICE.

That first clip - The cop was a huge ass and way too agressive and also arrested him on no grounds as the citizen complied with his request but just spoke out ( not illegal, read the consitution ). BUT, the drone pilot was also a little bit stupid to be so close, and to argue with an american cop ( worlds biggest gang ). To people that think flying near an accident is a good idea is just completely stupid. Think if you have been hit by a car and then an idiot decides to fly near the helicopter that's supposed to bring you to the hospital but the helicopter could be damaged if it hits the drone and because of that it cant land and bring you to the hospital. Then a cop tells the drone pilot to land it and the pilot still keeps it in the air to get a cool video while risking your life. Just think about that for a second. Nathaniel Hall No, but you can arrest someone for something they already did...and this guy already fucked up by flying his drone there, the cop didn't have to let him go with a warning, but he tried anyways, but since the guy went all "i'll be back", the officer changed his mind. Same way with a ticket...if you are speeding, the officer can let you go with a warning, but if after the warning you go "nah bruh, after this i will go even faster", then the officer can change his mind about the warning and give you a ticket

Did you not watch the video JNJ 704 the drone pilot was never told that there was a helicopter coming, the cop manipulated the situation to trick the public and his partners. He lied and said he had already told him when he hadn't (as confirmed by the bystanders). Sounds like you need to learn to listen and watch with your ears and eyes, don't know how you could fly a drone when you cant even pay attention and follow a basic video ........ use your brain !!!!!
