drop C and C# are the epitome of drop tuning imo. pretty heavy but not as muddy as A and or B can sound sometimes

Drop C and C# are definitely a sweet spot in most Setups With some guitars and amps Drop B and A just isn't clear and defined enough, even with the treble set high

I started writing songs in drop D and over the years ive cared less about perfect tuning. Recently I checked my tuning and noticed i was actually in in drop C#. Songs sounded a little heavier than usual. Probably also due to the fact that all the newer songs I write are in C# standard now. Personal preference i guess. Since its just me and a drummer I can change tuning to whatever i feel like

Drop C is my favorite tuning, because you have access to a bunch of lower voicings for chords in a bunch of keys. F Minor, G Minor, C Minor and E Minor are some of my favorite keys to compose with in that tuning

Smile Empty Soul is a band with almost exclusively drop Db / C# tuning and they're one of my favorite bands by far. I know it's really more dependent on musicianship but there's something to be said for that hard blunt force of drop C#'s powerful darkness.

Drop C# is my personal favorite. It's the only 'low' tuning I can still make sound crisp. Anything lower gets muddy and undefined, but that's probably on me. Drop C# just feels very lenient.

I didn't want to ruin 666 likes but I didn't want to lose the riff! Slowly realizing drop c is enough for 6. I tuned up from drop Bb/A#. Mostly because I have most scales and tunings covered. 27 inch scale 7 for drop F, 28.6 scale 8 for a variation of drop E or drop Eb sometimes drop G with a low C. And a 9 string for the josh travis tuning. Adadccgg#e. Or sometimes drop E with a low B
