You inspire me to become a better musician. I currently play the guitar and sing. After listening and watching several of your videos, I came to the conclusion that your teaching style is a direct fit to my learning style. I just want to put this out there, I was passing up watching any of your videos due to your choice in hair style. Haha! 😂🤣 I really went against my first instinct to judge someone with that type of flamboyant flavor about themselves and I am so glad I did. It just goes to show... Never judge a book by its cover".

I'm not a pianist & my chord voicings are naff. But I understand you. I've just gone to my keyboard & the chords sound great. I've also learnt about rootless chords & I love how these voicings seem to float above a bass. Thanks for making stuff so clear..;-))

thank you very much, love your channel! a short question- how do you spread the drop 2 chord notes between the hands? for example- Cmaj7- right hand is C-E-B and left is G? only G or to dubble it? or maybe C-G? when its just one note it feels a little dull.. thanks!

Hey Ruslan! 1. Nice channel! I loove it!! Explanations are not too fast nor too slow. Please do NOT change. 2. Besides jazz piano, I'm into jazz acapella (Take 6, Real Group, Jacob Collier etc). I wanna get better at writing BEAUTIFUL jazz acapella arrangements. I already know my drop 2, my 4-note close voicings, substitutions etc I just don't have it together yet tho. Why don't you please make a KZbin video about that (jazz acapella arranging)? For beginners and advanced musicians. OR why don't you make online lessons on that? I'm more interested in buying online lessons and learn them on my own. Then, if necessary, I could email if there are any specific questions that cross my mind.

Stephanie Smith I’m flattered by your request. It implies that I must be some sort of an authority on the subject of acapella arrangements. Alas, I am not. I wouldn’t know where to begin on that beautiful, and unfathomably complex subject. I’m happy to hear you are into it. It’s uncommon and we need more people who are into it!

Thanx a lot for the tutorials! But how to build up chords according to the melody? ( Your example in the beginning sounds like 6 dim scale (Barry Harris scale) ? ( Щирі вітання з України.Вінниця))
@ruslanpiano5 жыл бұрын
Ivan Jochner hello neighbor!! :-) Yes basically we take the notes in a scale and spread them around two hands. But I will make a video about this

A little too fast. I understand the drop 2, but missed the leading. I would have liked to play the cords you used to understand. But just too fast repeating, rwwinding and repeating the video didn't help.
