Me being fully aware you’ve edited and uploaded this video, but also me having watched too many found-footage horrors: “OMG, I hope they find the road and make it out unhurt”

I've done 10,000km with it on desert, forest, trail and racetrack, it's no show queen 😂

I know the sound of a vertical minarelli when I hear one. congratulations

Congratulations on making it through to the end! I had my first test ride on it today, what a HOOT! Fun at 25mph. And a noise like an angry chainsaw. I'll put it online as a bit of bonus content next week I think :)

@@btgmoto And good prediction on the guy you ran into. Luck for his neighbours to live fsr from him. I have driven scooters knee down on the GP track and Müllenbach sleife. Those years was truly magnificent and the sound brings back so many nice memories. I had a desire to make a street scooter for the nordsleife. But then kids happened. Search for speedline 24H Harzring ;-) They can be very avesome wheelie bikes as well!

😂😂 dude was big mad. Why'd you select that sad music when you encountered that dude. 🤣
@btgmoto11 ай бұрын
Because we were sad we had to turn around, we were so DAMMMM close to the road!

I know it's not the done thing, but if I was on foreign plates I'd have sent it past the angry man for the sake of 50m . Can you imagine the policia bothering to come and find you and caution or fine you for trespass?
@btgmoto11 ай бұрын
I'd be lying if I said we hadn't both considered that as an option!
@gingersaurus_spex11 ай бұрын
Was very much a consideration, but at the time there was also the consideration that he had a shotgun in the trunk, and with no knowledge of the road out he would for sure have caught us up.

And, in the middle of nowhere, dealing with a clearly agitated, clearly back desert sort of person (read into that how you see fit- I'm from the Appalachian mountains in the USA so think "Deliverance") who you don't know may be trying to hide what he's doing and might be willing to bring violence on you to protect what he's doing. I think they made the right decision to de-escalate the situation and go back. These type of people exist and you have to think about the consequences of challenging them in short order, meaning think fast!!

Me and a couple of my German riding buddies were on a back road in an unnamed part of Bavaria; a very legal to drive on gravel road, which is well known and marked as free to ride on between these two small villages. It was almost dark and we met and had a very old Jager (hunter) block the road with his truck ahead of us. Very much a back woods sort of fellow you don't see much of anymore in Germany. He came out of his truck screaming WITH HIS RIFLE IN HAND, threatening to shoot us for being "on his land". My one buddy and myself both have inactive German hunting licenses so we know the law, we know the road, we know we were not doing anything wrong. But he was clearly unhinged. We de-escalated the situation, said we were very sorry and turned around hoping not to get shot in the back. Once back on the main road we drove to the local Polizei station (only 10km away) and reported the incident in detail including the truck license plates, full description, exact grid location on map etc. They immediately went there and he was later tracked to his address and arrested for "threating with a firearm". He also no longer has a Jagdschein (hunting license) or firearms in his possession. Also turns out he has a known history of threating people as a Jager including threatening some local horseback riders. You never know how far people like this will take the situation in this day and age and I find it better to let them think they won and deal with it properly with the authorities.

@@gsj-66 absolutely each situation is different and you make your own choices. My comment was merely on the incident in the video and my gut feeling watching after the fact. Truth is I'd usually defer to Dale's judgment on a bike anyway. Worst it's ever got me is punctures so far 😅
