Used to do a lot in the high country in New Zealand mustering a lot of the rock that you’re walking through with similar and we all used to use what was called a Nibi stick. It was about 7 foot inch and little bit thick made of manuka which is a type of tea tree it saved your knees when going downhill when siding it took 90% of the work out of it when going through heavy rock. I cannot work out why you guys are not using one and for standing shot with a rifle brilliant

I was lucky enough to take the Yukon slam plus wolf and wolverine. I'm glad I did it when I could afford it. It's pretty expensive now. I had horses run off on my first Yukon hunt, which was a 10 day hunt. We found them but wasted two days. After that, we tied up one each night and let the rest graze. We never had another problem.

Or maybe cut all the intermissions and the videos would not waist so much of our time. When I watch a hunting show. I’d like to see the show not rehear as if I’m Warri on tv and listening to all the commercials Tried to watch a different show this morning (Eastman) and Omb 90 min show w a commercial Agir update a presented by before and after each four minute actual hunting 🤦🏻♀️. I love the key for boys dropped series but I feel like I’ve seen these back in the earlier 2010s And this is reruns ??

They lose their horses while they're hunting and they say that's just what you got to put up with out here on the Yukon let me tell you something, with a small piece of rope around the ankles, it's what you call hobble a horse!! And if you don't know that then I might have to charge you $25 for the info, LOL 😂
@The_Crucible7142 ай бұрын
I thought the “guide” that’s necessary supposedly knows what he’s doing(?) _”Ok guys, now pretend the horses are gone!”_ 😂

Not all horses are trained for hobbling. Hobbling a horse not trained for such, and you're just asking for trouble.

Chris makes this sooo hard to watch. Pretty sad the way he talks to his guide/wrangler when he 'rolled' his ankle. It looks more like he quit. The next day no mention of it at all. I could go on and on but unlike Chris i'm not a crybaby. Such a great concept but on the reverse side, such immature, undeserving hunters. After barely being able to watch the Alaska season i would have hoped that they had matured some. Not even close as again we must endure the temper tantrums.

Am I missing something here? Is it wise to take off into the mountains with a bad knee?? One has to know that the mountains are going to expose any weakness or injury correct?

Great hunt. Nice guys. But one thing. It wasn’t right that you make the guide look bad by adding drama to your hunt. That the horses were gone and it was life and death. When in fact it’s just what the horses do. They wander and the guide goes gets them. End off story. Not some life and death drama. Right. You made the guide look bad. Not right.

so 8yrs old is the minimum age to take a ram? Do you ask for a drivers license or birth certificate? You know both could be forged. Do they get federal ID? That is harder to forge, but I know a guy that knows a guy that is brothers with a guy that can do it.
@LIFESaWONDER6 ай бұрын
That's why they use binoculars, there are ring like grooves on the horns and the longer curves toward the nose, the older the ram.

One other thing. You ruin the hunt for your hunting party by you and your knee. You should have stayed at home. Or at least planned it that you stayed close to camp. Right. More drama.

Weird how at the end they have a stove.😂Bad wranglers. Tether the horses with a one leg hobble or use hobbles on both legs. Or a high line and feed bags are used. Sad to see them tied by halters, noses getting rubbed, aside from legs over lead ties. Bad horse sense😢🥺
@pawprint81674 ай бұрын
Even I know to pack a lightweight fold up titanium wood burning stove on a long pack trip like that. Aside from the complaining I say they aren't very good back woods people. They should have also brought some wood back on horseback the day they saw the legal ram. 3 riders each could have brought a few sticks. As a woman I think I have more common sense backpacking then these two 😅😊

Hi I’m loving the series I’m from Uk and as we don’t have anything like where you are I was a bit surprised to hear the narrator say a cup of Coffee and Chicken boulion cube. I may appear to be slightly dim here but he didn’t mean together did he.
