It's not that bad. Swap mounts, shifter box cables, axles can be da or dc2 depending on what half shaft you use. Or can use swap axles. You can use the stock civic harness. Will need to extend the alternator wires. Few other wires that you will see. Most of it is plug and play. I swapped a f23a into a ek civic. Damn close to doing a h22 swap.

dude.. love your chanel.. amazing work.. i wouldnt be too concerned about rust, you did a hell of a job..i dont recall if you did this or not but if you havent- get some HIGH QUALITY rubberized coating and spray the inside of the wheel wheels ... it will add extra support against rock chips, depris, dirt, and sand flying up and chipping your Quarter panels.. also an added layer of protection to the PR15... i plan on swapping my EK too, was it hard? will be my first swap as well.. probably gonna go with a B series.. you have a snapchat man? Again, great content dude- keep up the hard work!!!!

Hey man the shell is coming out SOOOO clean!! What is the sealant you we’re using to do the underside of the shell and in the grooves and corners of the floor?? I NEED to know!! I’m also doing a project ek hatch and it looks like that stuff really works! PLEASE let me know!!
@GarageSpeCivic6 жыл бұрын
The main product that i used to seal it was POR15. There is quite a bit of prep work required for applying that product but in the end can shed some really nice results. And can also last for a long time as well. In the groves i tried to get in there with a brush of the por15 and soaked it in there hoping it seeped in tough to reach areas.
@savethecivic966 жыл бұрын
Garage SpeCivic alright because I was thinking about buying spray rubber for the underside of my shell but I mean is their a lot of prep work before applying it?
@GarageSpeCivic6 жыл бұрын
More prep the better. If you dealing with a rusty underneath I suggest fixing that first before applying a rubber undercoating. Rubber undercoats can cause issue down the line that if water is still there where you sprayed, it will be trapped and over time rust will spread fast. If you scrape the flaky rust if you got it, and convert it, just throw an oil based painted over it and rubber coat if you want. But take your time and good luck

fairly easy drop in? didnt bang inside the bay at all? My bay is super shaved and tucked and freshly painted
@GarageSpeCivic6 жыл бұрын
i went very slow. scuffed the paint a little bit by the transmission side. Used towels and stuff to protect the paint as much as i could. once i got the idea of how extreme of an angle you had to drop in the engine, it went pretty in pretty easy. Took a little time having to attempt to drop it and pull it out, adjust the strap angle and so on. But if you go in right off the bat at a 45 degree angle the drop should be fast. 2 people helps too. That engine fills up the bay though. Someone recommended lifting the front end though and sliding the engine from the bottom. Definitely would avoid fiddling with the transmission side as it can be tricky.
