Thanks for the info this is some great knowledge I didn't know. I'm in the works of swapping my 6thgen accord with a auto j32a2 and a Acura cl 6 speed. Idk if it's for all models but mines on a budget I got no crazy money for a fueltech ECU or Aem so I reached to PJ Walters, he mention to me he's making a ECU jumper harness for anyone going with a stock ECU and should be more for budget builds, also mentioned going that route you'd need a 2001-2003 Acura TL/cl ECU (Auto ECU) and the whole harness from the automatic. A jumper harness for the transmission will have to be made if you want full functionality for the transmission (reverse lights and speedometer) plz delete post if my knowledge is wrong just passing down the info for anyone going with auto j32a2

What's your opinion on putting a series in an 8th gyn civic si
@octanemayhem26863 ай бұрын
@alvinmckithen5140 TBH w that specific platform already being Kseries with a 6 speed id just invest in some upgrades for it as is. Unless you're really wanting a J and have the budget id say it would be cool. Or if you're getting a good deal on a rolling chassis. But for me personally if it's still K id leave it. Keep all the creature comforts. Invest in a turbo kit and a stand alone ECU.. Sometimes it sucks not having heat or AC in a budget swap like we've done. There's just too many variables to say for sure what the best route would be.

@ What about the harness?
@octanemayhem26862 ай бұрын
@larrycorpuz2644 If you wanna do it for free, you're gonna have to gut out your entire civic harness. And what we did was we just took the TL harness and fuse boxes and hung them from the dash support bar inside the car. You'll keep all the plugs for the Civic headlights and taillights and wire them up to the TL wires. Same with the fuel pump. So everything will be powered by the TL harness. I even put the TL turn signal and light switch /and TL ignition on the Civic steering column so everything will plug in. All you have to do is make sure you get all the grounds and run 12v power to the main fuse box. If you wanna keep heat and AC you can prob wire them up the same way off the TL harness but we never did.
