Hey Mast just letting you know that you can know if your enemies (or even your team) have their ultimates if you look at the icon under their profile picture. Right above the number of souls. If its full they got ult, if not it's on cooldown! Good vid, keep it up!

Good video! But some advice - you're SIGNIFICANTLY kneecapping yourself by not building weapon items and wasting a ton of potential power by selling and rebuying tier 3/4 health and spirit power items. It's like you're playing with 4 fewer items than everyone else in the game. That's why post 40 minutes you were struggling to kill anyone (outside of your ult executing people). For example, at 39:30 you have +99% vitality and +173 spirit as your flat bonuses. This is a general indicator of what items you have and how powerful you are. At 50:43 you're at +105% vitality and +183 spirit. In 11 minutes of gameplay you practically didn't get any stronger. You just swapped some items around and have slightly different bonuses. If you bought weapon items instead, you would've continued to snowball and thrash the enemy team. It might not seem like it, but this was a major contributor to your team losing. Look at your teammates' item bars (the orange/green/purple bars) at 50:51. If you total up each person's bars as a general marker of their power, you're actually on the weaker end of your team. Infernus, Haze, and Abrams very likely stronger than you at this point, and Seven and Ivy are close to the same strength as you. Weapon items aren't just for weapon damage, they have a lot of effects that improve your tankiness or enhance your spirit damage. Very VERY important to get them, especially late game!

I think this is what makes building actually good builds hard. Because 500 Soul items give such good raw stat values I find I want like 2 of each type coming out of lane at minimum. But then pathing the build into those high upgrades gets muddy. What's better early mobility or durability or damage. Or even what items are good value compared the raw stat yeild. I just guess half the time. So much trial and error.

Great vid as always, also the aoe that came from the shivs is cuz when he the charater is at max rage the shiv bounces to a close target, and yes the ult is that crazy where it can go infinite as long as you get the execute, if it didnt it cuz it bugged or maybe it made the execute sound but didnt happen

the 29:19 ult? the paradox had a white indicator (for showing who is being targetted by shiv ult), it turns red when they are at the execution threshold the death sound was a friendly death

Little tip for any prospective Shiv mains, the right click costs 2 ammo to fire, but you can fire it just fine if you only have 1 round left in your clip. Not super useful outside of clearing camps, but still handy to keep in mind

@25:45 your rage amplifies your ability, your knife will chain onto another nearby enemy, and your 2 ability has an afterimage attack that deals extra damage along with other things

Hey Mast, you can actually slide after every single dash to move around the map a lot faster. Press your slide button right before the end of all of your dashes and slide forever, everywhere. I remapped my slide button to Alt instead of Ctrl (swapped their functions) so that its extremely easy to press them consecutively with different fingers (pinky and then thumb). Let me know if you try it out - it's a huge boost in mobility and juke-ability all around the map! Cheers dude

Been liking the deadlock videos a lot! Shivs got alot of funny stuff like shotgun jumping with his right click. also adding that when you are super late that even the t1s come with nice bonuses to your other stats, so even 2-3 weapon t1s could be helpful to amp your spirit dps or tank while inbetween 6k items. its not the biggest amounts but still helpful :]

When you were confused about dealing AOE - If you Rage Meter is full, your 1 (Shiv) is riccocheting 2 times. Also why you didnt get the second reset on your ult on Paradox is cause you dindt kill her with your ult.

I’ve been having a lot of fun testing out builds on shiv. One of my random favourites is the spirit item that does tick spirit damage 2m around your hero. Really fun with his dash / ult . Kinda evil

Pretty sure it is infinite resets, you just didn't finish Paradox with your ult. Also i believe one of Shiv's 1 Ability upgrades allows the the knife to ricochet off of enemies and onto another nearby.

The orange bar in your healthbar is deferred damage from your 3. As in part of the damage you take is delayed before actually ticking on your health bar. When you use your 3 you remove a portion of that deferred damage, so it does not actually hurt you.

Hey mast shiv and some other characters have a different right click attack, shiv has a larger shotgun blast and viscous can use their weapon as a grenade launcher, idk about other characters so far but you should try right clicking more!

Filling weapon slots would have given you a big dps buff rather than leaving them empty to buy a higher tier Vitality or Spirit item. It seemed like you only went in to join team fights after they started and didn't initiate any of your own. You were huge throughout the game, so if you had split push while they were team fighting there isn't much the enemy team could've done.

I’ve been playing Abrams and going full tank😂 Then teabag people who think going no defense is smart. Game is so unbalanced that it’s laughable. Even angered a whole match that I had to 1v6 and still wiped them. And Teabagged each person mid fight as I was picking them off. The people laning against me had 3 kills between them when I had 32 at the end💀 The game is honestly 10/10 just because I can teabag. It makes it funnier.

There's an item that resurrects you after you die - I think it's called Soul Rebirth? You can see on the map that he revives right where he died, and there's also the ghost version of him on his corpse

Melee isn't obvious on Shiv but speccing into it early really helps his lack of ammo. Dagger, Phantom Strike, Dagger, Dash, Melee, Execute is a savage rhythm to get into if you have enough lifesteal to keep from getting nuked through the 3. Sometimes tanky enough to eat Seven or Haze ults and cancel them hitting them so hard with healbane.

Great video! I've recently learned that heavy melee is super effective against mid boss, so if you shoot a few bullets and then heavy melee you can min max your damage on it!
