I have the same bike, just changing out the stock tires for Dunlap trail max mission for a bit more traction. I reserve mine to fire roads and those horrendous road construction sites we run into out West in the middle of nowhere - the Pan Am is not a dirt bike but you rode it like one!

It appears you are never in the power band - IE low revs. For a big bike like this and the BMWs - I think that more torque would be better.

I usually run a gear high and play with the clutch a lot. Bike is easier for me to control that way. I wouldn’t change a thing for the street characteristics though!

@@gregatized yes its a great engine at 4+ k rpm/ It becomes alive.. but its low end torque took getting use to. I stalled it quite a few times.
