OMG yes, Z is playing SE! I never thought this would happen, so much s that when I clicked this I thought it was a captain Shack video (whom i'm also a sub of) XD Enjoy the game Z, I have over 1500hrs in that game and I still love it even if I don't play it as often as I used to. You should also know 2 things about this game : playing with friends is so much better and mods are pretty much the best thing ever; if you think :" uh, this would be fun to do or have in this game" there's a mod for that in the workshop I pretty much guarantee it, the modders in this game are the best (looking at you lucas, spacebar and the rest ;) ). Looking forward to seeing more of this game from you in the future :)

also, go to the passenger seat in the pod, and press i for the inventory and there will be a rifle and nato magazine, also on the side of the pod, there is a hydrogen container with a hydrogen tank inside, put the tank in your inventory and you will get loads of extra hydrogen for your jetpack, ifyou want to reill, go back to hydrogen container and put ice in it with the tank and it will refill fryou

A high efficiency starter base is key to automating the grindy digging until you get your first atmospheric miner. The basic idea is to deconstruct the thrusters in the drop pod and use the metal grids to build a small container on your large block foundation. Then on one side, build an advanced rotor, grind off the head, then through the control panel, add a small head. Off of that small head, build a 3x3x3 conveyor and add drills to make a rudimentary boring machine. Use the control panel to turn on the drill and make the rotor spin at 1 rpm. Periodically rebuild the drill head so it can keep digging.

Medium cargo containers are small grid only. You need to get a large grid small cargo container but it requires metal grids which requires cobalt. For the grids you can get them from the hydrogen thruster below the respawn pod.

For the turbines: Turbine 1 was producing 952 watts and was in good clearance. Turbine 2 was producing 1000 watts (1 kilowatt) and was in optimal clearance. What this means is that turbine 2 was producing more power because it was in a better placement than turbine 1.

25:14 if you build a passenger seat (or any type of control station/cockpit) on a grid, you can see power usage in the bottom right, as well as being able to recharge your suit. Also, with a few extra steel plates you can grind your survival kit down and move it to your base, that way it will always have power, as it is your only way of healing or respawning if you die. (Other than respawning in a new drop pod at a random location on the planet likely nowhere near your base) Also, optimal placement for turbines is approximately 7 blocks horizontally from any obstructions and about the same for height above the ground.

Also, just to clarify the cargo container thing in other comments: At, eg, 15:49 when you have the medium cargo container selected, look at the tooltip on the right. Just underneath the heading "medium cargo container" you can see two small squares. The left hand square, with the small square inside it, is highlighted. That means you have the "small grid" form of the part selected. You can switch between small grid and large grid forms for some blocks, but the medium cargo container *only* comes in a small grid form. The base itself is a large grid form, and you can't attach small grid blocks to large grids (you'll find an exception to this using rotors as you get more advanced)

You don't need storage, just add the assembler to the large cargo port and put the stuff into the refiner and assembler. Storage is mainly used for things like fuel on ships and other vehicles. With power, remember to look at the end you were mistaking 900 W with 1 kW and thinking that the 900 was more, which it is not ofc. Just look at each piece of equipment, they will say how much power it needs and then look at the turbines and it will say the max and how much of it is being used at the time.

yes but believe me he will need it, when he starts making different blocks, he will need somewhere to put them as some blocks have higher mass which fills cargo more or less dependent on mass no amount of blocks so he will need lots of cargo space

Captain61 games yeah, there are a number of older, but still popular games, which are fun to see newer players do playthroughs of, 7 Days to Die & even Minecraft come to mind. So it makes it hard for people just trying the game to find useful playthroughs on KZbin, since they either have to watch years old videos, which game updates have made horribly obsolete, or new playthroughs, which the creator has modded the game so much that it won't help the noob, not to mention they also tend to not provide info needed for new players

Hey Z. For storage on your base, use small or large cargo containers. Medium cargo container is small grid only and your base is large grid. Also, a large grid small container holds the same amount as a large small grid container. So when you build a small grid ship (like your drop pod is) if you put a large cargo on it and fill it completely, then a small cargo (lg grid) would also be full if you transferred everything into it. You can tell if a certain block is available in small grid, large grid, or both by looking at the info of the block. An open square means small grid, filled square is large grid, both squares means there is a variation for both.

I don't know if you plan on avoiding mods right away, but if you're avoiding them for the time being I'd suggest the Automatic Ore Pickup mod. It's simply a QOL mod that I hate playing without. It will make it so you don't have to press F on every chunk of stone/ore that falls on the ground.

I have a question for you, when your remote dies and doesn't have power do you build a wind turbine to power it or do you get some batteries. Also grind down a landing gear halfway and then rebuild it same with thrusters. Also check your seat for a gun. There's other storage container blocks that fit better

That's extremely fun. I've done it without tools. It takes a lot of patience, and there's never a guarantee that you won't die a few times if you don't find a trading post before running out of oxygen, or just as worse hydrogen. Dude yes. Youre playing space engineers finally! btw you have a jetpack. you should use it to build stuff and unknown signals give drops that give you skins and a bit of materials. and some blocks are different size like the medium storage goes to small blocks only.

For the storage, be carefull, it has 2 version (it is the size of the grid): small : for ship large: for base et big ship. I dont remember the key to switch or if you need to select it twice. in your video: 14:17, you see 2 symbol next to the name, a small sqare in a big sqare, and just a big sqare. it is the 2 size of the grid.

Blocks come in two types: small and large block, you had the cargo box set to small grid, your base is large grid. There's a way to swap between those whith certain blocks that can be both.
