Best "How to Drop the Rope" video I've found. Sean, you always are so clear, concise and articulate in communicating the relevant points...while adding some humor! We share this video (and your how to get up on a wakeboard video) with our boat club members and more.

This is by far the best tutorial. very helpful. For beginners who are still working on tossing rope , are we suppose to stand up more straight rather than bending feet and back lower? I also feel this is a common mistake I make
@Shaun.Murray3 жыл бұрын
Good question. For sure standing up can keep you over your feet better. To shift weight forward, don't bend over at the waist, bend your front knee and drive weight over your front foot, even towards your big toe.
@terubosu3 жыл бұрын
@@Shaun.Murray super! No wonder I look so strange and funny crouched over like a mini squat. Noted on the leg shifting rather than arching body forward to shift weight. That’s def a mistake I always made as well. Thanks a ton!!

Shaun I just got a tige Z3. Throws a great wave. I set my wave setting to the steepest setting. I noticed I fall behind on the wake then the wave slingshots me forward, lose momentum, then lag behind and get slingshotted again. I can balance pretty well. Should I lower the steepness of the wave? Thank you! You're a legend!!
@Shaun.Murray7 ай бұрын
Could be the direction you're pointing the nose of the board. Make sure you're surfing towards the middle of the platform rather than pointing the board in the same direction of the boat. That can cause that surge you're talking about.

I’ve been a boat owner, ski and wake boarder. However my boat became unused and sold it 13 years ago. Had not been on water, boat wise since then. Fast forward last summer I had the opportunity to wake surf and got up first shot. However I made/make every mistake possible. I just went a few days ago for second time. Still a handle user like a baby to the teet. What is different I ñ now know what’s up by watching this cat that shares a hair doo as me advise us on what to pay attention to...... Makes sense, all of it. The key is doing it....

I’m new to wakeboarding. My board has the boots for your feet. Can you learn to surf the wave on this type of board? I’ve gotten good at being pulled but haven’t tried surfing the wave without the rope. Can’t wait to try.
@Shaun.Murray2 жыл бұрын
While you can ride a wakeboard in the wave, they definitely aren't ideal for wakesurfing. Check out this board, which is great for beginners. www.hyperlite.com/product/wakesurfers-broadcast 4'8" is good for most people and decent size waves. 5'4" is better for bigger surfers and smaller waves

I have newbies drop the rope to the side. Beginners always seem to fall when the try to throw the rope into the boat. Seems they lose their concentration or it throws their weight off

Question: I just got the same board. If running one fin, do you need do block off the mounting/bolt hole for the other 2 fins? If so, how? Thnx

I do the same thing and get water shooting up the holes sometimes but it's not a constant crazy fountain. I don't bother to fill the holes.

Hey Shawn, I know this isn’t exactly a wakeboarding video, but I’ve had an idea for some water sport things like wakeboards and skis. I am only 14, but I really want to start my business. My idea isn’t patented yet, and I haven’t got into much of anything yet but I feel like you might be able to help. I was thinking about starting a water sports business, and I have many other ideas for it as well, but to start it off, I felt like you might be able to help with your experience wakeboarding, and you might be able to see if it is a good idea. I wakeboard a little and I can see ways this would help me and some other people I know. If you are interested, just let me know
