Got the game yesterday and the nostalgia of Gothic hit me hard, it's incredible. How much I missed having to explore a dangerous world while building relationships with game characters in order to get stronger, by doing tasks for them, earning their trust and them having to teach you how to fight. Love it !

Can you give information how is the performance on the switch with the newest update? I dont know to buy it on Ps5 (better performace for sure) or on switch. Have it stutters? Is the Text readable? Is the Zoom in and out function in there? Because i read the zoom out setting was deleted. Is the Game now playable on the switch? How is the loading times?Thank you! ​@@Saladin1992 Hey Saladin. I also thought about all of the things you mentioned in your comment before buying the game either on PC or Switch. I love gaming on my PC, but I thought it would be nice to play it on my Switch while in bed or just around the house. I decided to just buy the game on Switch and I can tell you that the gaming experience is great! I have 40 hours into my first play through now (because I love exploring everything), and I'll tell you a few things that I've noticed that are annoying but in the end I find to be acceptable: The loading times are decently long. To boot up the game fresh from the Switch start menu and load up your save takes like.. 20 to 30 seconds maybe. Quite long. Loading saves once the game is already booted up also takes a decent amount of time. I also found that it also depends what area your save was created. Some areas take a bit longer to load. Average is like 15 seconds or so probably. Saving the game takes around 5-7 seconds as well. The controls feel fine, but there are some frame drops in some parts of the game, but nothing that makes it unplayable. I never felt cheated or felt that the game was really hard to play because of frame drops. That being said, I get jealous sometimes when I see PC gameplay of the game because it looks so smooth. 9 /10 game though, I've had a TON of fun playing it so far. I want to do another play through when I'm done with this one.

@@ogbaxstar thanks for this! I have only one Question left. I have read the Zoom-out option ist not anymore a thing, and its patched out for a better performance, now only zoom in. Is this true or is it back with the newest update? I wish to play it with the zoom out option because of my eyes.

@@Saladin1992 Great question, I'll boot up the game and check. Okay at first I was going to sadly report that no; you can't zoom out. I've played my entire playthrough without it, but after digging through the options menu in-game, you can absolutely set the zoom value to either 'close' or 'far' by going to the DISPLAY tab in the options. The far zoom is probably double the distance away from the character. It looks great :O. No idea how it'll affect performance just yet, but running around a bit it seems to run a solid 60 FPS at the moment :)?

u got me at "The world is handcrafted", Im so tired of those roguelite random generated games, so little love on the world when those are involved, I want my games with areas that are crafted with detail and become meaningful / memorable

I used to love the idea of random/procedural generation. My first experience with it was Minecraft, and the idea of near infinite unique worlds blew my still developing mind. Could play forever, I thought. And it was great for a time, our experience being what we made it. But when random generations saturated the market and became a loose marketing term, I sure did miss having experiences tailored for us.

There is something to be said about a video format about a game that just gets to the meat and potatoes of the game. No need for all the extra fan fair and hyper edited intros. There is a place for that sure. Added to my wishlist and subscribed. Don't know if this game has this but I always liked the notion of magic being pretty trash early on, making martial arts more appealing, but having a big payoff middle to late game.
