Lie detecting the mother wouldnt prove anything, it would essentially detect if she thinks she is telling the truth which she does. He needs to be put on a lie detector because he and the daughter are the only ones who know if it happened. Kids say strange things for various different reasons and surely if you as a parent heard this from your child you would speak to the police and get them to investigate, until this investigation was complete you certainly wouldnt allow him anywhere near the child.

I guess I just maybe see it from the perspective of having been abused and not believed and even mocked by some. I guess I cant see this situation clearly because of my own experience. On another note, 20 years after I told anyone about my sexual abuse, the man who abused me was about to remarry a woman who had a 10yr old granddaughter .and after much thought and turmoil , I decided to approach the woman for her grandaughter sake discreetly and I talked to her honestly about my experience and asked her to pls consider what I was telling her for the sake of her granddaughter that she was raising and asked her not to marry him and move the child into that home. She did not listen ofcourse, and she became very angry at me, smeared my name as a liar and as a nut job to my community, violated the privacy of our conversation by telling it, but portraying it as concocted fictional story. I was embarrassed, but mostly I was worried for the little girl. And as it turned out the man who had sexually abused me 20 years earlier was infact abusing his new wife's granddaughter In a horrific way. She found Polaroid pictures of the child being abused sexually. She called the police and told them that I had told her and she didnt listen and the police showed up at my house and questioned me. I gave them my account and now this man Is in prison serving a 50 yr sentence. As it turns out he had abused me, my brothers( which i didnt know about until he was arrested), and most all the children of the neighborhood ( female and Male) throughout the years. So I'm thankful he will spend the rest of his years in prision.

Even though the mother's evidence doesn't match, I still can understand why they came this far. If god forbid something was happening, This is what it would have looked like to a certain degree,. Investigations would have been needed and if she didn't react, she would have been accused of not protecting her. Now that she has taken action, she is accused of coaching kid, conspiracy with her mother, and being obsessed and hostile. At times like this, people are nervous and look hostile to each other for good reason. The nature of domestic sexual abuse allegation is a very very heavy and complicated issue, the process is exhausting and really harsh (for the sake of the child's wellbeing) and both sides of the allegation should be ready to be handed the short end of the stick". Still, it is an exhausting effort, well worth it.
