Arguably, knowing the stories of the Asura antagonists - with psychological distinction - will help to grasp beyond the otherwise easily misleading fierce iconography. Realistically, non-violence can't be taken as a dogma (it wasn't the means by which the British acquired Mughal India, trying to Westernize it) nor is ferocity necessarily solely a matter of impulsivity, animating limbs, but of mobilized, saturnine determination toward a resolution.

Kali is one who has control over kaal. She kept mahakal under her feet. Or Kali is time personified and that is why she appears to be violent as time is killing every moment mercilessly so many. And she is a form of divine mother. Mother when finds her child in danger takes the form of Kali to protect her child.

i wonder how can someone seek protection from a deity that can be manipulated through ritual and be directed against you.isnt it risky?and the same thing could be applied to kalabhairava etc,people should know about it before engage in such worship i know some tantrik scholars that have kidnap devi through advanced ritual and worship and they go through life acting as a spiritual gunman this is my deception in hinduism

My Guru is Sri Ramakrishna. I received mantra diksha from Swami Sarvadevananda. I have been introduced to the Divine Mother. I love all forms of her. I have been advised to not keep her terrible aspect within my house. It was suggested that Ma Durga be on my alter with Sri Ramakrishna. You might say I love and worship her in a more abstract manner. 🙏 Edited for spelling
