I thought the floating ribs are connected by intercostal cartilage and are flexible anyway, hence corsets.

@@DrRodRohrich why will there be any problem if we do reduction of every rib combining with shoulder shortening surgery if done carefully and preciseIy I guess that will not affect any motion in daily life..... and I have a question.. if we try to reduce every rib not just the floating one's will it be complicated bcz of lungs... bcz it continuesly expands and contracts .. so doing a surgery will be difficult....hope your reply will be helpful Sir...
