As a male who's worked in a "daycare/preschool" environment I can say people do tend to be uncomfortable around male "supervisors/teachers" I had a lot of kids who liked to be affectionate ie they liked to give hugs, things like that. For the female teachers it was perfectly ok, but when evee (4 and one of the last kids in the class i worked with and for about 6 months) (she was the youngest, the other kids moved to different classes) gave me a hug at the end of the day, another students mom thought this was "inappropriate" despite the fact that my female assistant teacher (i was the lead teacher) had just gave her son a hug. She reported me to the director and I got bitched out and placed on "probation" (from the school not legal) because of my actions. I asked what about the female teachers who constantly have physical contact all day with every child. the response was "the parent's don't have an issue with it" well this parent also happened to dislike me because i asked her to help me correct her sons behavior (he liked to hit, and after he punched another little girl in the eye and she had to be sent to the doctor I was getting fedup with it) *she didn't like her child being anything but "a sparkle of sunshine who does no wrong"...I had never had a single accusation of inappropriate behavior from any other parent and often got asked if i'd babysit privately for quite a few of the students. Yet because of this accusation a newsletter was published by the school which specifically banned the males from any physical contact with the children (there are cameras everywhere, nothing could happen anyway) well a few parents from the class below mine read this and "asked questions" as to why this is now an issue, they explained that a parent had been concerned about a child hugging a male teacher" well unfortunately they took it in a very "over the top" manner, and when they found out it was my class (these parents children were weeks from being moved into my class) they threatened to remove their children from the center and "protest" against them. So I was fired from my position (missouri isn't a right to work state and our contracts could be terminated without reason) My kids cried, were upset, and begged me not go. I sound like such a terrible teacher right? well 2 weeks later the center was closed because one of the female teachers had been found actually hitting several of the kids.. she received no charges and only lost her job.. I faced an investigation, lost my job, and because "my reason for dismissal" was listed as inappropriate contact with children" i haven't been able to find another job in childcare/teaching. even though there was no inappropriate contact in any way shape or form. The system is sexist af. If you want to be a teacher as a man. reconsider. regardless of what age group you want to work with.

Wow that's fucked up. Reminds me of the movie The Hunt (2012) when the teachers and parents waaay overreact to a preschool kids lie about being overly affectionate with her teacher, Then basically castrate him from the town even though he was proven not guilty of anything.
@OhItzJace
@OhItzJace 8 жыл бұрын
What I never understood is how they could file my dismissal as "inappropriate contact when all video evidence indicated the child came up to me, and gave me a hug. A lot of the parents who's children I'd worked with defended me. My old math teacher from middle school was fired a few years back after a student accused him of raping her (he failed her and she wanted payback) she later admitted to lieing about the whole thing, but guess who never got their job back? To this day he still can't find a teaching job because the allegation makes parents uncomfortable.. I understand allegations make people uncomfortable but nobody seems to care about the truth anymore only rumors. he said she said bullshit.

I remember once in 7th grade, we had a test. There were 12 tables (4 in each row, so there were 3 rows). In each table there was 1 boy and 1 girl. My friend was sitting next to some girl. I was sitting next to their table. 10 minutes in to the test, and the girl asks my friend what is the answer to the question. The teacher is right next to their table, but she didn't respond. My friend said: "Be quiet, they will hear us." The teacher then told my friend to hand his test over. He was surprised and asked why must he hand over the test. She told him that he was cheating, because he obviously asked the girl next to him the answer to the question. He then explained it was the other way around. The teacher wouldn't listen, so my friend repeated what he said. The teacher accused him of being cocky, and told him he will get an F. Then she graded his test, and gave him an F. All of us stood in his defence, claiming the story was right. The girl felt bad and said that he was telling the truth, and that it was HER who was cheating. Nevertheless, the teacher still said my friend will get an F. We reported that to the principal, and he called the whole class and the teacher to his office. Then, he asked us to repeat our story. After hearing it he asked the teacher why did she punish my friend and, even better, why didn't she punish the girl. The teacher replied with this: "But she was just trying to get a good grade. It is an honest mistake, it happens." All tho the principal convinced the teacher to not give my friend an F, the girl still didn't get any punishment and got an A- on the test! This is only one of many, MANY cases of sexism towards men I saw in school. Some were even more serious and ended way worse.

The education system is disproportionately represented by females. There are probably more feminists than total males in teaching roles. This means girls are given preferential treatment and encouragement. Boys are more likely to be forced onto mind altering drugs, as teens more likely to drop out, more likely to end up in gangs, jails or the victim of street violence, less likely to graduate high school, less likely to get into colleges, once in college they are more likely to be removed, they are less likely to receive a degree, if they do receive a degree they are likely to earn less money at their first job. It isn't til my sister had two boys that I became aware that there was a war on boys being launched by the public schools.

I have had something like this happen like this when I was in a water park with my cousin who is 6 and female and I am male much older but still not over 14 and I was helping her glide through the water with her life jacket since she was asking me too and some random young girl said to leave her alone. I know that this was because gender since if my cousin did not want to be pulled she would have restraint or flaied but no she had a smile on her face the face you would have if your having fun yet the girl still said that. Luckily my cousin reashered her that i was helping her pretend swim and she left the funny thing is that i am 100% sure the girl is years older than my cousin and how my cousin who is 6 had to make her leave

I was mercilessly bullied one a group of girls when I was 11 years old, for being short. I tried all the usual steps; 1) I ignored it a first but they persisted 2) I told my teacher but she dismissed it as "it's just words, ignore it" 3) I told her again and she laughingly said "they probably just have a crush on you and can't express it, try being nice to them and be their friend" 4) I told her again and she tried to blame me and accused of having said and done something to instigate this as precious little angels would never be mean for no reason 5) I kept trying to avoid them by staying inside the classroom during recess but they stayed in as well and kept abusing me 6) I told my mother who contacted the school and did nothing 7) I finally snapped and slapped one across the face after she threw a book at me and I got suspended, but it was worth it, because when I went back, none of them dared bully me again out of fear that I'd punch or kick them the next time Privilege is not having to suffer abuse publicly because your abuser is female. Privilege is not having to be told to befriend your abuser. Privilege is not being told that you must deserve the abuse because your abuser if female. Privilege is not having to resort to violence to be treated like a human being.

At a local high school two male students got suspended for a week for trying to sneak into the girls locker room. A month later two male students got suspended for three days for “sexually inappropriate behavior” because they were changing when a female student came into the boys locker room. They didn’t even do anything on purpose. Of course she received no punishment.

My Aunt got custody of my nephew even though she is an alcoholic. My Uncle still has to pay child support and was unable for a very very long time to see his son. My nephew used to come to our house to hang out and sleep over and when he was little he always started crying when we ever mentioned his dad, because he wanted to see his father so badly. That really broke my heart :(

When I was 11 years old 3 of my friends accidentally started walking into the girls changing room while talking. There are two sets of doors for the changing room so when they realised their mistake they hadn't caused any harm or fear or embarrassment. A teacher saw it happen and all 3 were investigated and punished. The following year (when I was 12) the teachers saw a 17/18 year old female student walk directly into the boys changing rooms so she could speak to us (12/13 year olds). Nothing happened. They never even said anything to her.

We'd hang out together, and she would start touching me strangely in front of her brother; which put strain on our friendship. After I tried to talk to them about it, they went home and told their grandmother that I touched them innapropiatley. Their grandmother tried to press charges, but my dad said fuck that. Last I knew, they moved away. Living in a small town, rumors destroyed my already fragile reputation. I learned young you can't trust anyone, especially women.

The education system is biased against males 1) boys natural behavior is aggression (don't confuse this with violence) 2) sitting still and quiet for extended periods of time is a disadvantage for males in schools (males are naturally more curious, physical, and active) 3) Females are predisposed to working together, co operating, being 'nice' (keeping the peace, "keeping the harem cohesive") even if it means conceding your true beliefs and values. A male is more likely to not follow herd mentality and push against the grain if he doesn't agree with something (this is a perfect example of critical thinking) thus is more likely to incur punishment for not getting along with the others. Most teachers today are women and as a result our educational model is highly gynocentric and bias. Males make better leaders and executive decision makers because we are more logical in thinking and more likely to challenge another's point of view regardless of ostracism. I want my mom baking cookies or bread and hugging me before I go to school not trying to be a man and out earn my father in the workforce.

When I was 10, after my swim class, my friends and I were talking in the locker room when one of my friend’s moms burst into the room (We are boys) and told her son to get dressed quicker. Luckily, no one was currently showing theirs. We pretended that it was socially acceptable, as we don’t know what else to do. If a father burst into the girl’s locker room to tell his daughter to get out soon, this situation will be completely different. Edit: So, let me elaborate a little further: Suppose this situation, a boy telling their parents that a lady burst in the boy’s locker room to tell her son to get out faster. The parents would most likely be like “Oh, looks like this boy is very slow and talks too much in the locker room. Don’t be like him”, but if the gender roles are switched up, the parents would be like “Wow, this man is a pedophile. He should get arrested for attempting to look at little girls like that. Don’t be like him”. And more often then not, the police would be called on this guy.

School is extremily sexist towards man. One day I was having fun with a girl classmate, and one of her friends thought that I was bullying her, so she proceeded to kick me in the nuts, I felt the worst pain of my life, it didn't cause any harm but it still hurted. So you may think, "damn she almost made you infertile, she must've gotten kicked out of school", hell no, nothing happened, the teacher just said that she shouldn't do that again, they didn't even sent a note to her parents. Now flip the situation around and see what happens to a boy if he kicks a girl and make her cry. Forgive any mistake english is not my first language.

All boys in my k-6 school weren't allowed to play sports at school (except in gym class) because a girl tried to join our soccer game and was tripped. We played pretty rough and we're very competitive, so it was common for someone to fall and get hurt (there was never anything serious). But as soon as a girl is hurt, however insignificant the damage, not just the guy who accidently tripped her, but EVERY BOY IN THE WHOLE SCHOOL is banned from playing any sport during school hours. Three weeks later some boys made a petition, which almost every boy and a large amount of the girls signed. We still weren't allowed to play sports. There was a total of around 15 girls playing sports after that. 2 months passed and we were allowed to play again, but I'll always remember how sexist schools are.

Here are some I can think of (not HUGE privileges) 1. A woman below the age required to get into clubs or bars are mouch more likley to be accepted, than a man. 2. Teachers in school see all girls as intelligent and all boys as people that don't care about school (might be a reason why boys do worse in school) 3. Young females have it alot easier to find a job. 4. If women complain about things that need to change, everybody support them. If men complain about things that need to change, people call us stupid and tell us to recognise our privilege.

3rd grade: I was the class topper, had a fairly good reputation of being a good kid, never got into any trouble. There was this girl who sat next to me. We had a test. She peeped every single one of my answers, and yet when the results came, she somehow scored more than me for the exact same answers. I was visibly sad because I wasn't used to failure. This girl then walks up to me and tells me I'm overreacting ( I wasn't even reacting, just sitting there silently with a dull expression), and that i should behave properly. She was a good friend, so I just smiled and said ' Fine, idiot'. Next thing I know, another girl goes up to the teacher and tells her I'm verbally abusive. The teacher calls me out, calls my friend ( the first girl) out and makes me stand in front of the whole class and asks me to say 'I'm sorry (her name)' 100 times. I did, and she then went on to lecture me about how I was never taught to respect women. ( I was raised my a single mother) Later, my friend tried to convince the teacher that it was not a very big deal, but word spread throughout the school like fire that I was a horrible person. Got bullied for years after that single incident. There were many such incidents, but this was my first experience of sexism. On a side note, 9 years later I went on to become the president of the school council of that very same school.

nessy ness, left handed people are more of a minority than women are because 51% of the Earth is filled with women on it, and only 10% of the Earth has left handed people, so if anything there’s more evidence backing up right handed privilege or female privilege than male privilege.
@nessyness5447
@nessyness5447 4 жыл бұрын
@@RoronoaZoro-ur6hr first of all, no one said women were a minority, you don't need to be a minority to suffer from opression and discrimination, in fact usually what the people in power want to opress are not the minorities. second, left handed people are not shamed about it or treated as inferior or hated for it, at least not since medieval times. maybe in some underdeveloped countries that are very religious they can still be seen as evil, but i haven't seen any news lately of anyone in one those countries being married of to someone twice their age or not being allowed to work or to go in the street alone for being left handed, and in first world countries, i haven't heard of anyone being yelled things on the street for being left handed or making less money than a right handed person, the list goes on. in fact there are a lot of things specially made for left handed people, not only chairs. left handed people are not being discriminated, they are not beinh killed by their couples for beibg left handed, they are not questioned about what they were wearing or what they had been drinking when they get raped. they are able to marry who they want unless gay people who in some first world countries still don't have legal marriage approved, they are not suffering from racial prejiduce every day like black , arabic or lately asian people in europe and america. don't make stupid comparisions, you know light yagami is an egocentric, sociopathic and evil character with a god complex...but even he was smart enough to see your comment was as absurd as saying that rabits are morr discriminated than dogs or cats because more people has dogs or cats as pets than rabbits. if in a group of 5 all suffer discrimination and in a group of 100 all suffer discrimination, they are equally discriminated in any case. now, if in a group of 5 , 2 are being discriminated and in a group of 100, 99'9 are still being discriminated, then the group of 100 is a bigger problem.

I'll tell you why. Assuming you live in the US, I can tell you that in a public school a teacher can loose their job only if they do something illegal. That would include hitting another student, sexually assaulting them, etc. In my whole life (I'm 14), I have encountered a lot of teachers who would yell at their students for no reason and take points off just because they can. Unfortunately, my public school was not able to fire them because what they were doing was perfectly legal. Fortunately, almost all the teachers I have had in the past were teaching because they love to teach, but there are still a lot of teachers who just come for the money and torture the kids. Sadly, they end up getting away with it and there is nothing a student could do about it.

I have a story of sexism from two years ago, in my seventh grade halloween dance my friend was running around and having fun this girl walked up to him and got mad for him being too loud, he kept doing it in a different spot near the bleachers she walked up to him and hit him 21 times... he hit her once and knocked her out. After that he was called to the office and expelled. She faced no punishment and laughed at us for defending him. She was given ice and the school bought her gifts and stuff. He is finally back at our school two years later.

In the words of Bill Nye, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof." Edit: I made a similar argument in a different comment section last year but I did it with less sugarcoating, and to this very day I still get MRAs telling me to kill myself. You know what a good response is whenever a feminist brings up the supposed wage gap? Their kryptonite...porn. Even though it's much more difficult to find men who can consistently perform on camera as opposed to women, female performers make 3 times as much as their male counterparts. It's not a recent trend either. During the height of the video boom in the 1980s the top actresses were earning $1000-$1200 a scene. The top actors? About $350. I wonder if there's a feminist brave enough to applaud that?

YESSSS!!! Feminists alwaaaaays try to justify women's shitty manipulative abusive behavior by telling us how we're "not owed anything" and how we're not "entitled" to avoid taking responsibility for completely fucking up a guy's emotional well being. But women always expect guys to own up and apologize for hurting them, and sometimes for things they brought upon their damn selves. My ex was like this. She got very emotionally and verbally abusive; gave me the silent treatment for a month and would lash out and get defensive when I tried to talk to her and have a CIVIL conversation with her. She just fed me generic excuses, then wrote shitty passive aggressive notes about avoiding me and when I told her I'm tired of her treating me like shit she acted like it was my fault because I got upset over her abusive behavior. She lied her ass off about "not having time for a relationship anymore" just to watch her get into another relationship with some generic sporty douchebag a month and half later and obnoxiously blasted him all over facebook (obviously wanted to rub it in my face). She absolutely refused to take any responsibility at all for putting me in a summer's worth of depression, emotional torment and loneliness.

My dream as a young man was to be a firefighter but when I turned 16 my mom started to bring her work home with her, babies. She was a child care worker in a large center, teacher, and ran a 24hr daycare for single parents or parents who both didn't work the typical 9-5. I loved it. I have 6 younger sisters and I'm the the oldest, 35 year old male now. I was pushed by everyone not to become a early childhood teacher or infant 24 hour care specialist because I'm a man. I've always got along with kids, especially great with babies. For some reason they love me. There were four babies in particular that absolutely adored me (all under 6 month girls) and I'd stay up and feed them, change them, rock them to sleep. The parents knew and thought it was great. I love them and we're still in contact with all of them, just went to the twins graduation in June (via zoom, thanks covid) . I passed up junior prom, pissed off my girlfriend at the time, but one of them ended up having to have heart surgery to repair a hole and I stayed there during her entire recovery. They're family to me. Breaks my heart that I can't do infant care or anything related because I'm a man. I'm great with kids. I tried college for early childhood education and was sneered at and talked down to. I probably had more experience than anyone in the room. Helping with SIX sisters with a gap running 22 years and all the kids my mom worked with over the years, I even worked "security" at the Center, really I was a caregiver though. All the experience, grades, hands on time was not enough. I quit my major because I just couldn't handle the jabs anymore. They were daily. I mean a few on the girls in my classes were okay and appreciated the fact that I was skilled and actually watched how the kids interacted with me but a person can only take so much. Now I work in a steel foundry but at least I get to hang out with my nieces and nephews, who I'd absolutely die for. I love them all to death. My girlfriend of seven years and I broke up because I wanted kids and she told me she'd get an abortion "to spite me", her exact words. She knew how important a family was to me and was on board but after she got that engagement ring everything changed. I wasted 7 years with her and was basically broken after we split up for four years. I'm just now getting back to myself. I'm still extremely unhappy and working a job I hate but that's what's expected as a man. I'm 35 with no prospects because of her and my choices but that's just life as a man now. It sucks.

I remember that me and my friend were playing tennis at a after school camp (it wasn’t a tennis camp) we both went to the restroom and when we came back a group of girls just took our racquets and tennis balls. We were in awe so we told the counselors and they didn’t do anything about it so we took matters in our own hands. So we went up And politely asked them to give our stuff back. They said no because we were dirty street boys and to go play basketball our jaws dropped. So we talked to other kids and guess what they talked to the girls and the girls said that THEY WERE THERE BEFORE US. So people joined in there cause and we were basically not allowed to go over there if we did people would chase us. Thanks for reading I know it’s long and have a nice day :)

When I read this, I feel sick, when I read the comments I feel almost overcome with sadness and anger. What is so infuriating is most men still do nothing and don't organize to stand up to this planned disempowerment. Men need to band together to stop this insanity, but again, most men just don't care until it affects them personally. Soon it will affect us all and each man will be accused and found guilty of sexual harassment or discrimination. It will happen in the next ten years.

@nessyness5447
@nessyness5447 4 жыл бұрын
@@mr.turtleproductions2309 that the so called female privileges that everyone is complaining about in these comments, such as this one i just answered are not so. that they all have a counterpart and they are a result of sexim and mysoginia and not of feminism. since both what ethan said and my answer are the result of a society who believes women do not enjoy sex or should not enjoy it hence the concept of women being shamed for being sexually active and that also leads to the believe that men are this somehow hipersexual testosterone controlled creatures who cannot hold back sexual impulse and hence why virgin males( for whatever reason they are virgin) are shamed, since it is considered they can only be virgins for being unnatractive and not because they want to wait or just are not so sexual. luckily all of that is changing , slowly, but it is changing and maybe it will come the day when neither women or men will be shamed for their sexual live or lack of it. but that is actually one of the things feminism works for , cause you know feminism is not female supremacy or hate to men, which seems to be what everyone around here believe blaming problems on a movement that is actually fighting against the root of those problems.

I live in a very small beach town. I was biking the mile long trail to town that I biked everyday, right along the beach. I have met very many officers, all of whom were very kind. One even met me downtown and offered a ride home during poor weather. I always kindly decline, and I continue on my way home. However, one day, I ran into the first female officer I've seen there. As I rode by, I waved as usual, acting in a kind and respective manner that most officers deserve. I was told to stop, and that I needed to put on my helmet or I would be in "big trouble". I asked politely why I am required to wear a helmet, and she had no comeback. I asked why she had seen dozens of bikers pass by today without helmets and not have any trouble. She told me I was not complying, and I was told that more officers were on the way. Luckily, I got the friendly officer. They talked it out, and the kind officer ended up discussing the "issue" with me for about 20 minutes, and he came to a conclusion that I was safe to make my own choice of whether or not I wear a helmet. I asked the female officer one more time, why was I, out of anyone, noticed? She said that my long hair, scraggy beach clothes, and hat made her feel threatened and as if I was under an influence. I was amazed. I then told her, "I'm 16. All of those assumptions would be illegal, and you have already searched me and my bike." I only had my wallet and some shells in my pocket. I was excused, and continued my journey to town. I then biked back home with no issues, and never ran into that officer again. I was entirely judged for how I looked, and was judged for how I naturally act.

I get that such a treatment isn't fine, but you should wear a helmet. When I was a child I obviously wore one, during my early teens I stopped, but then I got epilepsy and started wearing one again when I was ~15 I actually had a seizure once and was riding with ~35 km/h at that moment, which led pretty much to a faceplant. Thank's to the helmet all what happened were some scratches. It looked brutal, half of my face was bloody (the helmet prevented a "full" faceplant and led to only one injured side of the face), but thanks to the helmet no further damage was caused. And I'm pretty sure that if your face scratches over stone at 20-30 km/h and your head hits the ground with ~20 km/h there will be serious injuries. In my case it was due to a seizure (which can btw happen to literally anyone), but there are way more things which might happen, a lot of which are caused by outside factors. Another benefit is that small stuff which drops onto your head, for example falling fruit, won't even cause pain.

I have a story (well actually two): Story 1: Although this was in kindergarten, it still scarred me. In kindergarten during recess or lunch, I can't remember which it was, I would always run round the playground pretending I was a dragon. You know, Kindergarteners have no fears and infinite levels of confidence, so I ran up to a girl and touched her hair because I was curious what It felt like. She runs off and I go back to pretending to be a dragon. Next thing I know, I am being reprimanded and yelled at for assaulting a girl. I was so confused and inexperienced with this kind of thing that I didn't defend myself. I got sent to the principle and my parents took me home. Somehow, I still perfectly remember what happened. Maybe because it was so traumatizing for me at the time. Story 2: Fast forward to third grade. I play tag with a group of kids every lunch. I still had a young kids' confidence. So anyways, I get tagged. I am running around trying to find someone and I find a girl hiding behind a tree. I exclaimed "Easy target!" before I tagged her because she wasn't very fast. For some reason this b*tch went to my teacher and told her that I called her an easy target. When I came in from lunch that day, my teacher screeched at me like an evil banshee. Since then, my self-confidence went downhill. I am only just starting to regain it. Amazing what an accusation can do. Two accusations in Kindergarten and third grade ruined my self-confidence. I can only imagine what an accusation of rape can do to a grown man. Honestly, It scares me. On another note, I am only just now learning how to muster the courage to talk to a girl. Especially now, with all the political correctness, I know that I need to be careful about who I approach and what I say. It's sad. I hope that one day, the mislead people of American society will realize their mistakes. Maybe even think for themselves. And maybe even learn to tell the truth.
