Selective Etching - The Best way to Etch/Bond!

One of the major causes of Post Operative Sensitivity and Decreased Bond Strength is treating Enamel and Dentine equally. They are different materials with different composition hence require different treatments for best results.

I clearly remember once during Viva, the examiner had asked me a question based on bond strength and etching techniques. A good concept beautifully explained and demonstrated. Sir, you can also do selective etching by placing etchant only on enamel for 10-15 sec and placing on dentin along with previous for another 10-15 secs. Because as per my experience 5 th generation gives best bond strength. Correct me if i am wrong

Etchant by ultradent, dentsply and 3M have limited depth of penetration when compared to korean brands and do not cause sensotivity and other problems mentioned in video
