Dr. Suneel, We agree with your ideas, and hopefully people realise what you are trying to tell them. Not sure if you have said before, but it would be very interesting to know exactly what your diet consists of. What are typical meals you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tennis player video was very useful, especially his typical diet plan. Do you fast, at all, often, and do you exercise regularly (what kind). Thank you in advance.

Don't think it's the debt. It's that someone with an agenda holds your license. Seems like every time you go to see a doc, you're asking: 'Do you want any more money? Any new drugs you want to try out? Do you want to limit my freedoms in any way? Maybe some friends you want me to give money to?' All that in addition to 'How's my health looking?'

That's getting caught up in the system. How many pills taking before even fifty years old, but then there's people who have serious health conditions since very young. Definitely seriously go after people with the pills here if forty years old or older. It's so bad, I've turned it into a matter of principle. I skirted being given permanent lifelong pills almost immediately here, twelve years ago. Got the blood and urine test results rigged up lower to be able to drug people sooner. One of the lucky things I caught for me, because I did go there about it with my ex internist. It was one of my "wait a minute what happened here while I was overseas?" I've had a lot of those, but even Zombies who knew me and my family for years, don't seem to realize that. If I was a bitch, snob, I'd have been making comparisons all the time. I sure wouldn't have ended up here. How many rude ugly remarks I've put up with from stupid wicked idiots, and people here love to lie, fakery, manipulations practiced, it's a lifelong specialty. That's definitely not conservative traditional values upbringing, or "good families", Gentry, etcetera.

Vet looks me dead in the eye and and said, we'll have to do a full liver work up for know for sure. How much is that? $650 You can't make an educated guess? . Not without that panel. I’m a recently retired doctor. Medicine has drastically changed since my medical education in the 80s. Doctors are indoctrinated and don’t even know. We are taught that we must follow “the standard of care” or lose our license. We must follow what “research” shows, not realizing the research is controlled by big pharma, big food and big government (NIH, CDC, etc.). You can design research to show almost anything you want and bury research that doesn’t agree with your agenda. Doctors are usually so indebted and so busy theat they don’t have time to go deeper and look at the big picture. Your average doctor is not getting pay-offs. The leaders in the specialties get money for speaking about new drugs and treatments, and researchers get paid for doing the “right” research. It’s still possible to find a good doctor, but it’s not always easy.
@jules9465 Жыл бұрын
It's not easy in rural areas to find a good Primary Care Physician. My experience has been disheartening. HMO's and Health Insurance company's have taken away Physician's autonomy and their patients suffer. They bribe doctors with money to not give good care. Save the insurance money. That's basically what it is. Sign a contract with an HMO give away your autonomy.

Dr Dhand hit the nail on the head describing a typical office visit. I had a doctor awhile back, and that's exactly what I experienced. His face was always in his computer, he was quick tempered and rude at every visit. Finally one day, I was in quite a bit of pain, sick to my stomach, and really not in the mood for his sour disposition so I told him "Doc, I don't know what your problem is, but I can almost guarantee that whatever kind of bad day you're having, your patients are having a worse day. You're fired ! " He didn't understand that if I "hired" him as my doctor, I could also "fire" him. Without patients , there is no money flow. Anyway, eventually I found a fairly decent N.P. , but, I no longer have much faith in the American medical system, it has gone ghetto.

Someone recently said most of the corporate world operates on spreadsheets and profit is the Holy Grail of that system.

I couldn’t agree more also. I stopped gong to my primary care physician because all she did was try to find a way to prescribe something. Also, the obsession with analyzing the blood work and sending me off to specialists when it always turned out to be nothing literally gave me a nervous breakdown. All the false alarms gave me severe anxiety (which of course she wanted to prescribe me a pill for). Whenever someone’s asks how I got over my anxiety naturally I say I stopped going for checkups. It’s been over 10 years now and I’m healthy and the happiest I’ve ever been.
@plumeria66 Жыл бұрын
Omg I’m going thru that right now. In my annual gyno exam I said I was feeling bloated for months, so she examined me and felt something in my abdomen. She sent me to get a CT scan to rule out cancer, had me in a nervous wreck over it, and of course I had to get an Ultrasound first which showed everything to be normal. Then finally got the CT scan now which showed nothing with my intestines but something with my liver which was normal under the Ultrasound! Now my doc wants me to get an MRI to see more of the liver despite saying I had no symptoms of liver problems. The whole thing has made me a nervous wreck becsuse I am potentially facing a liver biopsy so they can examine what the tissue is. All they want to do is explore everything to “rule something out” at the expense of my peace of mind. And then scare me to believing I have to go along with it or else. My dad got increasingly worse this way. He went in for a colonoscopy where the doc said the polyp tissue result was inconclusive and recommended surgery to do a bowel resection “just in case” it was cancerous. My poor dad went in for surgery that day, listened to his instincts, got off the operating table and went home. He told me about it and I implored him not to go back. Sadly he did, letting his fears of what the doctor said dictate him. After the surgery he was never the same. He couldn’t absorb the nutrients in his food and was constantly on the toilet for diarrhea. Then he died. I’m going to have to put my foot down and take back ownership of my health. Doctors are supposed to work for us, and I really do not want to do what they say unless I need to. The way it’s been I haven’t been able to sleep or eat, and lost weight when I’m already thin. I lost faith in my own healing because of their scare tactics, which is not good for my health. I just want to be left alone to my own devices and use them if I really need to, even if it means I may end up dying sooner than later. I’d rather live and die on my own terms than live in fear and getting poked and prodded in the process. Yep, and my doc offered to give me a pill for anxiety over these procedures too!

As a RN in the US I agree 💯!!! I don’t even have health insurance. It is worthless. I walk an hour every day. I drink mostly water and try to eat healthy. I am of a healthy body weight and so far have no healthcare problems that I am aware of at age 50. I had insurance in the past, but after paying exorbitant premiums and then having two medical emergencies that I had to go the emergency room for because I didn’t know what was wrong as like I said, I have no chronic health problems. Finding out one was a kidney stone, that passed on it’s own and the other a tick bite that I needed antibiotics for and winding up with $16,000 worth of bills after my insurance paid a total of $138. I…was…done. I will never have insurance again or seek medical care unless I think I am dying. Which I did with both previous issues as my vital signs were way out of whack and with the kidney stone it felt the same as my natural child birth of my first kid which was horrific pain. Actually, with the weight of this debt, along with my student loan debt from my bachelor’s degree I may just opt to see what happens next time and just die if it happens. I chose not to participate in the experimental v and also refusing the new flu v. I’m not taking any more v’s. As a result, my employment options are very limited so basically, I’m screwed.

I know how representatives of the pharmaceutical industry set the limits of good cholesterol, so I never worry about it. I consider, in retrospect, that going to him was a waste of time. My blood test results show that I am healthy, but I feel bad. I see how my doctor is stressed that he can't help his patients and is restricted by Rockefeller procedures. Now as a seasoned RN with cardio step down, ICCU, and now in a Caediology department, I am so disheartened with the system I was once proud and wager to continue to learn in. I have seen the dark side of in patient and out patient services. I don't even want to call them services, for we lost the concept of serving those in need of Healthcare decades ago. The system is now a diagnosis code that allows a pill or a test to be covered, maybe, by insurance that is way too expensive. I am at a loss on how the system could ever be turned back around to actual Healthcare again. I love what I do now. I am an RN in a pacemaker clinic. I love the relationship and report I have with people I see as device patients. They are why I still work in Healthcare. We need a soul searching moment to refocus our purpose for taking care of people, not an ICD 10 code and the corporation.

Agree with you 100% Dr. Hand. I’m a physician who also stays away from the medical system for my own care. When I broke my arm, absolutely the system works for acute emergencies. As a patient I felt every single word. I live in Germany where we have a universal health care system where everyone is covered. That is a good thing. But everything that you touched upon in your video still applies here as well. I also try to avoid the system at all cost since I don't trust it. It feels like it's not about the patient's wellbeing, but about the financial wellbeing of those who control the system. We need to establish a system that incentivizes holistic care, not quick fixes (that are none). I will say though that simply blaming "the system" lets doctors off the hook too easily. When I do get in touch with the medical system, because I absolutely have to, I encounter quite shocking behavior by doctors on a pretty regular basis. I am horrified how many doctors (and health care professionals in general) are indifferent to their patient's suffering, treat them with blantant disrespect and want as little to do with patients as possible. Yeah, the system sucks, but so do a lot of doctors.

My father had maybe 4 or 5 medical appointments in his life, once he had his ears syringed - it was such an event that he retold the story in detail for weeks after 😆 He lived without the need for any medications until he was 95, he was then confined to a care home as he had lost his mobility after a fall. He complained to me of tiredness, which was confounding as this occurred directly after breakfast when he was normally most active, on further investigation I discovered the doctors were routinely prescribing all patients Valium with their breakfast to make nursing less demanding. You nailed it to a tee Dr. Suneel. I just went to my new Doctor for a yearly physical back in February. He did EXACTLY as you described. Spent most of his time on the laptop. Made almost zero eye contact. Only asked me a couple questions "Did you have a COVID shot yet? NO Never! was my reply. Did you have a colonoscopy yet? Not yet. Then he finally got up from the chair and laptop and listened to my heart and lungs and then pushed in on my stomach. Didnt go over my blood work or do any other checks. I told him I was going to see my urologist for a somewhat elevated PSA. He then said good and that was the end of the yearly physical! Although I am 63, I am in good shape and move very well. I have exercised and ate well all my life. However, you think because of my age, he would have been more thorough. My old Doctor of 30 years, who retired a couple years ago, would give me a more thorough exam when I went to see him for a injury or a bad cold. At my yearly physical, he would check my balance, strength tests, test lungs, check for hernia and prostate and go over every bit of my blood work. I will be looking for a new Doctor.

Fasting can help a great deal with heart failure and also the autoimmune diseases suddenly cropping up these days. Taurine will also help with heart failure! Some benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting. Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time. Fasting increases nitric oxide release. Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any 'foreign material' like spikes that are not supposed to be there. Whether natural or unnatural in origin.. Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Reflexes and short term memory are increased. Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release! After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies, rejuvenating your entire immune system. Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures. Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer. Blood sugar and insulin are lowered when fasting, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue! The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting. When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell required for viruses to replicate. What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building. Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS. Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance, which impairs immune function. One day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers. Some patients may need continued acid reduction medication while fasting. Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No. Except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose. Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells Lowering insulin via fasting virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism, fighting infection and cancer prevention! Fasting releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness or tremors, then simply break the fast and seek advice. Had delirium. Was given a colostomy against my wishes and ended up with PTSD and was denied the therapy that could have helped. I have been virtually housebound and lost all confidence. My oldest son is now my carer. I am so worried because my doctor would still send me to the same hospital where i endured the trauma. If i get ill i try and get well on my own. As a doctor is the US, I'm so glad a colleague said this out loud. I home birthed both of my children because I was more scared of what the doctors and hospital would do to us than the pain. I had easy short labors in a pool in my bathroom with my midwife and husband. Then laid in my own comfortable bed and space for a nap and was up functioning in the house within a few hours. My girls have never seen a hospital. I'm grateful for that. That is the story of home births. The hospital creates an emergency out of a natural process. It was a deliberate smear against midwives and normal natural medication in the 1920s thanks to a certain big influence who created the sickcare system we have today. It's a disgrace as a born healer.

I was diagnosed with high BP and prediabetes and arthritis. Now I'm 65 and go to the doctor as few times as I can. I'm off of all my meds now--BP, metformin, pain meds which all happened in the years after "menopause" hit. I tried, 5 different docs and they all wanted to know if I was depressed--5 times per visit (Well, a number of people in my circle died, so yes. I'm depressed, but not clinically so) They kept asking and pushing all the drugs and v's. I've come to the conclusion that there are no docs who actually listen. I lost 60 pounds and am off of all my meds with keto. I lost the 5th doc when he insisted I take statins. NOPE. I still need to fix my sleep and adrenals, but other than that, I'm pretty healthy now.
