Eligibility for Admission
Candidates who have passed the Plus two/Higher Secondary/Pre degree Examination from the Universities in Kerala with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as Optional subjects or any other examination recognised by the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission, to all the courses under clause I provided that they have secured an aggregate of 50% marks in Optional subjects.
Selection
Admission to all seats except in the case of seats reserved for nominees of Government of Pondicherry, Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep Administration shall be made on merit assessed on the basis of total marks secured by the candidate in Part - II of Optional Subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) or its equivalent examination calculated on a maximum of 300 marks. Rank list will be prepared in each category according to the marks secured by the candidate. In case there is a tie in the total aggregate of marks in the optional subjects, the candidate with higher marks for English at the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) will be ranked higher. In case there is still a tie, the candidate with higher total aggregate marks in the Higher Secondary Examination (+2) will be ranked higher. Those candidates coming within the total number of seats excluding/except 50% management seats in self financing institutions shall be called for a personal appearance at the Directorate of Medical Education.
