You are a breath of fresh air, no pun intended . You are easy to follow less challenging to follow than most (authentic) practitioners.

Thanks. This is really easy to follow. I'm 64 and have been in a wheelchair for a few years because of MS. There's a wheelchair/sitting Tai Chi class at my local hospital taught by a PT who is also an avid Tai Chi adept. I always went, begrudgingly, but I went. When covid came along, I thought I could get out of it. But after a few weeks she started a class via live video. So every Wednesday I join her and 3 other guys for a live class via video. My biggest problem is getting myself motivated to do Tai Chi every day on my own. Yesterday, I committed to a goal that I would do at least 15 minutes every day at 2 p.m. This is perfect. Success the first day. I'm very grateful.

Can't thank you enough for this relaxing video. Since getting Covid 7 months ago, I have had shortness of breath with post-exertional malaise where even minimal exercise makes me extremely ill. I found this to be relaxing while incorporating some movement into one of my bad or "crash" days. Thank you again - from a (previously healthy) 31-year-old!

Hi David! I'm a college student currently taking a health & aging class and I decided to participate in this video for an assignment and I am very impressed with how good I felt after completing the video. After reading more about your page I know I don't necessarily fall into the age category you are trying to reach, but I just wanted to say that I think your channel is great for keeping older adults active and feeling good and I am excited to share your page with others who thought Tai Chi would never be for them. Thank you for all you do! Stay healthy!

Hello I am 70 and started with Qi Gong 3 months ago. I did see many references as to how great a teacher you are with better explanations on movements and hand placement so have started doing your videos as well. I see alot of similarity but without the slapping of meridians. I have found great benefit in sleeping better and joints losing their stiffness in doing these practices. Thank you for providing the teaching!

Hello Mr.David, I just had surgery and was looking for away to learn tai chi. I'm not really able to do alot or even walk that good for that matter I know that healing takes time but I need to capitalize on what I can do. Now on top of my therapeutic moves. I'm now going to finish up with tai chi. I found your page and followed the movements, and it fit me to a T. I look to learn alot on this journey of healing and after. Thank you sir.

Thanks David. I've been doing Qigong practices everyday now for about 8 weeks. I've really enjoyed them, but a week ago, I woke up with a very painful lower back. It has meant that doing standing Qigong has been very problematic, so much so, that I stopped doing them. Your sitting Tai Chi practice has enabled me to get back into it, to renew my practice, and restore my health. Thank you. Oh, and I think my lower back issues are not so much structural, but rather transformational. Sometimes you have to 'Stop!' and rest, to enable you to rejuvenate through Yin energy. Your practice has helped me move forward in a new way. Thank you.

My Assisted Living residents LOVE this video - it is just the right amount, and we are able to get through the 15 minutes with any necessary modifications (how high we lift our arms due to shoulder issues being the number one difference. I would love to have a copy of this video, and any other short ones that you might have that allow for the viewers to see you sitting down. Do you have any additional videos, or ideally a DVD that I could purchase, that just feature seated Tai Chi? Those would be a great help to my seniors. Thanks!

Wow, am I glad I did a search for seated Tai Chi just now! Thank you SO much David-Dorian. I have a neurological condition which means, I am not only fairly immobile (though I can lurch about the house ok!) but am usually super fatigued, as there is a problem with my brain's messaging system. I have had the dullest day possible, on a rare 'bed-day'. I always try to get up and move downstairs if possible. I was aware I had not moved my legs much being bed-bound today, so thought some gentle tai chi would help with circulation. Your video is so welcoming and achievable. I have just completed this and feel brighter. I look forward to making this, and future videos of yours, a part of my daily life. Thanks again! H :O) (Scotland)

Thank you for sharing this training session. I have been a martial artist and competitor my entire life from taekwondo, karate to division 1 hwt wrestling, black belt in brazillian jujitsu, boxing, catch wrestling, and bartitsu. However, I had a tornado hit my street and a hastily cut out pipe with the exposed earth left open made my street collapse with me standing on it and I am undergoing a long and grueling knee surgeries and recoveries which has left me walking with a cane and unable to coach, referee, train, or perform professional wrestling. This workout gave me hope for the first time in a dark moment of my life. I have been telling myself this too shall pass, but its been hard. I could feel myself strengthening my core and the elongating and motions were challenging my shoulders and muscles which have been constantly in clinched positions for far too long. The energy at the end of the workout I felt was real and I felt some stress released. I feel like at least I found something that can be done to work towards improvement. I have muscle imbalances and weight loss I am starting to address due to poor diet, over training and neglecting symmetrical training but I felt like I took a step in the right direction today. I can't thank you enough I subscribed to your channel.

As a wheelchair user with, amongst other things, Chronic Fatigue & shoulder pain, I’ve been looking for a Tai Chi form I could follow. However, so far with poor results (So I just tried doing some of the flowing arm movements). However, this Flow suits me just great, I’m SO pleased to find something I can totally follow and complete! So pleased to find you & Will be looking for any other seated/or any other Tai Chi I can also follow. You are a breath of fresh air. Once again THANK YOU 🙏🏻

I found this video to be a god-send. Thank you for your POSITIVE and CARING energy. As I followed along with your video, I felt revived and renewed, where all other exercises I have attempted only left me drained and worse off than when I began. The breathing along with the movements are such a healing experience. I am more than thankful to you for offering this alternative for those of us who are not able to participate in the standing form safely. Cheers Dave, I have been doing Taiji W/ your videos for a few months now. I decided to type your name into KZbin to get some videos for me + was blown away at what there was to choose from, after you did a video with Jake mace (who was the person my sensei suggested) something about his elbow angle when he does ‘sinking the chi’ now I thought that your elbow angle was a little more desirable, so I chose your videos on KZbin to do once a day if possible. Hi, I practiced tai chi for 20 or so years. Diabetes, M.S. and degenerative arthritis made it impossible to do standing tai chi. I'm hoping your technique will help with both mental and physical fitness. Weight loss and inner peace are both needed. Thank you for his video.

Im amazed - I do painful range of motion exercises, as instructed by the physical therapist, to get my knees going, but this 15 minutes in a chair did more for my knees than all my "exercise".

Thanks for the seated Thai Chi workout. I am 50 and recovering from a torn left knee cartilage. I can bend my knee now. However, I am still fearful of applying too much pressure on it, and my energy levels have dipped. Also my leg muscles seem weaker than before the injury. My accupuncture practitioner advises that as we age, light exercises, like Tai Chi are better to maintain health. I am trying to get my 'chi' back. Hence, thanks so much David for putting this exercise video for us.

Have viewed a number of times now. Slowly beginning to get the movement order. Nice instruction set if there is a reason that you have to stay seated. Mine... pulmonary therapy.. you have to sit still... so the tai chi helps the time to pass quickly...

Hi David, love this class, love your gentle nature. Are you considering doing some teacher training over zoom for international students? Would love to take an into course from you during this lousy pandemic. Calms the soul! Love from Canada
